Halldale Builders is a small, family owned and operated construction company located in Montville, Maine since 1977. We build and remodel homes, barns, and other structures ranging from small projects to much larger scale homes and buildings. We offer our clients custom design and drafting services.  We also work with the local Amish community to provide most of our custom interior cabinetry and built-ins. 

Our professionally trained, long term employees attend regular seminars based on current construction technology and best building practices. Our employees are personally trained by the owner, Glenn, to provide craftsmanship that is second to none. Our 5 person crew is reliable and trustworthy, and customers feel at ease when we work alone in their homes.  Additionally, the owner is onsite and working daily, ensuring the quality and craftsmanship we deliver.

We are proud that our niche company offers the highest quality product for a reasonable cost.  Our customers often request we use them for future reference.  Customers tell us how stress free they felt while working with us.  We are proud of our attention to detail, our customer satisfaction, and the final product we deliver. > Glenn and his crew turned a Frankenstein's monster of a house into a thing of beauty!  The house was originally built by someone who thought he knew how to build a house but actually didn't.  As a result, the floors were no longer level, the roof leaked, the electrical and plumbing was a mess and nearly everything about the construction of the house was wrong.  As a result of the shoddy original construction, Glenn and Halldale Builders had to completely rebuild the house from the inside out.  The project threw numerous challenges and obstacles at the building crew, but Glenn and his team consistently came up with solutions that made the house not just more stable and up to code, but more beautiful to spend time in.  The quality of the work is exceptional.  The care and attention to the finished product comes through in all of the work.  The house went from a dark, closed up, musty space with spongy floors to a bright, open, inviting home with rock solid floors, walls electrical, plumbing, windows, etc.  It's truly a remarkable transformation.  I have had several people stop by and see the transformation of the house and everyone remarks about the beauty and quality of the craftmanship.  I highly recommend Glenn and Halldale Builders as exceptional craftsmen.

In addition, Glenn and his team rose to the challenge of building a home that had some unique design features and non-traditional materials and/or applications.

> Halldale Builders performed work to add an in--law apartment onto our existing home, consisting of one bedroom, great room, kitchen area, bath. They joined the buildings with a mud room on the inside and a farmer's porch stretching the length of both buildings on the exterior. They do impeccable wood work. My closets, window and door trim, floor boards are all beautiful. They built cathedral ceilings in tongue and groove pine which are gorgeous. They installed a LifeProof floor which I am very pleased with. After the initial experience, we increased our budget and plans extensively to include more features. The construction included a complex roof which they managed without issue. They always had good suggestions and made the whole process worry-free. Any problems were quickly met with solutions. The owner, Glenn, helped me manage work being done through other companies, for example, we swapped out our heating system for an entirely new system to span both buildings. These builders have all the right contacts for cement work, electrical, plumbing, etc. I would wholeheartedly recommend Halldale Builders for any home construction project. These guys are perfectionists and truly care about the quality of their work and customer satisfaction. Perhaps the best testament of their work....We are in their queue waiting to get work done on the original house when they can fit us in.

> Working with the owner Glenn Couturier of Halldale Builders and his crew was a joy .. The were methodical in their approach to blending the new addition with the existing home.  Reliable and ethical !! They were here every day.! Which to me says volumes. Started June 2014 ending Oct 2014. Glenn explained everything as the construction was in progress.  From my vision and wish list to choosing building materials,  ie new windows, doors, tile for the new bath room. He would share with us the work for the week .. keeping us informed every step of the way. If there was any issue he would let us know and we would talk it over. Another example of how very ethical he was ..  He would always give us alternatives / options to make informed decisions.
