There are so many horror stories of incompetent contractors or companies who take your money then disappear. Thankfully, Murdock Construction is none of these things. We added a fairly large two story addition consisting of a mudroom, family room, primary bedroom, en suite bathroom, walk-in closet, balcony, car port, complete residing of the home, window replacement and a new backyard shed. New furnace, heat pump and electrical panel were also part of the renovation. This was a very large project for us, considering we had never done a renovation anywhere near this size. Throughout the entire process, Thomas and his team were there to walk us through our options and help us to make the best decisions for our project. The job site was cleaned up at the end of each day and we always felt that the teams respected our space. The results are beautiful, and we couldn't be any happier with our new space. > > Where MCI really shines is with their communication. Thomas was always easy to reach, be it by phone, email or text, and was consistently on-site. There was never a time where we felt we couldn't ask questions or check up on the progress of a project. Thomas impressed us by being very prompt and communicative from the outset. He and his team did a great job with the project. From the assembly and installation of the cabinets, to coordinating the electrical, plumbing, counter, paint and backsplash, everything went very smoothly. The entire renovation took 4 weeks. Everyone was friendly and efficient; if we had questions, they took the time to explain things. I was particularly happy that everything was so clean. The kitchen was completely sealed off, and every evening before leaving, all the dust was vacuumed away. I was warned by friends that the rest of the house would get dusty, but this was not the case. Thomas was very quick to respond to emails. We continue to be very happy with our kitchen reno.
