The exact deck couldn’t be rebuilt due to code changes. We met with four contractors and 3 of them bid on a plain rectangular design with stairs that took up extra backyard space and would have required pouring a sidewalk to reach the back walk. Dennis was far more creative. He understood what we wanted and designed a single-level deck that gave us the feel of two separate spaces. Plus, his design landed the stairs in the same place without taking up any more backyard. So we hired Stumpy’s. > The crew arrived on time every day, got to work quickly and completed the project in 7 days.
