### All 2 reviews

**★★★★★ — Marie LeBaron, Dec. 2017**

> Paul was an absolute pleasure to work with on our project!
>
> We were amazed at how accessible and approachable he was for someone with his talent and experience, and for such a "small" project as our backyard shed. He was patient, thoughtful, and supportive throughout the whole process, helping bridge communication between us and the contractors.
>
> We will definitely work with Paul on any future projects and recommend him to anyone!

**★★★★★ — Olson Kundig Architects, April 2017**

> Paul helped design our farmhouse in Ellensburg and he made the process an absolute joy. He would pick three or four design products (all with our tastes in mind) and I would select the perfect one for us. I have total trust in him because of that experience.....Anna Chesnut

  - Description: Designed by Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig, this project is nestled in the vineyards of Sonoma Valley. Apollo Design Studio is the Architect of Record and overseeing the construction of the project. When completed the barn will align with a 50' lap pool and feature a 20' flip up glass wall so the interior blends seamlessly with the perfectly temperate California exterior.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Hello, what a fantastic idea, these panels!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Don't you have a picture when they are opened, with the TV ?
Thank you so much!
Caroline (Tahiti)

A: Caroline,
I wasn't able to locate a photo with the tv exposed but attached is the photo of the room before we remodelled it!
Paul

**Q: Cabinet materials and manufacturer** *(in Photo Questions)*

What can you tell me about the kitchen cabinets?

A: Carol,
The cabinetry is rift sawn clear walnut with a light bleaching stain. Cabinetry was fabricated locally in Omaha, Nebraska. Cabinet pulls are custom designed of solid walnut as illustrated below:
Paul

**Q: Who makes the woodstove?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am very interested in where that woodstove is available for purchase. Can you please provide some information?
Thanks

A: ahhuey: the stove is made by Rais from Denmark. Terrific company...you can find them here: https://us.rais.com/

**Q: 木のテーブル** *(in Photo Questions)*

立派なテーブルですね
何の木ですか？
なかなか無いですよね！

A: 我々は、米国東部から大型スラブで入手可能だったため、クルミを選んだ。西部のクルミは、しばしば「クラロ」と呼ばれます。

**Q: Blah dining room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm really struggling with adding warmth and interest to my very boring dining room. The table is a Henredon that I spent quite a bit on (so I think it has to stay). Any ideas are greatly appreciated. I've hit a decorating "block"!

A: Adding coffered beams to the ceiling would add interest and relate the room to the strong columns at the entrance to the dining room. There is already a flare to your ceiling but it's too subtle to notice.

**Q: Indecisive on grout color** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Fossil Gray quartz countertops have subtle white and dark gray veining. The subway tile is "architectural gray" which has some warmth to it. Should we go with white grout to keep things looking fresh, and to tie in with the cabinets? Or, should we go with dark gray to tie in with the overall color of the countertops?

A: Agree with all the grey grout recommendations. White grout would draw too much attention to itself.
