## About

Stanza Interiors is an interior design studio in Austin and San Francisco. We design whole houses being remodeled, built or moved into, every room drawn and rendered before anything is ordered, for a design fee of $2.50 a square foot, paid once.

We are two founders, Preston Silverman and Sunthar Premakumar, and you work with us from the first call to the last delivery. For every decision we bring three options, each with a reason it belongs in your house, and the one we'd choose. We refine in as many rounds as it takes, each back within 3 to 5 days. Then we order the furniture, lighting and finishes, and stay on it until the last piece arrives.

We take on 4 new houses a quarter. Book a free consultation at stanzainteriors.com.

- [Austin House in Marble and Warm Wood](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/austin-house-in-marble-and-warm-wood-pj-vj~7970767)
  - Location: Austin, Texas
  - Photos: 10
  - Description: An ordinary Austin house, remade with marble, warm wood and a little drama. It began with honey-oak builder cabinets, tile floors, and carpet in the primary bedroom. We rebuilt the kitchen around one bold move: a black-and-white marble slab running up the wall behind the range, with a black island in front of it. Warm wood cabinets keep the contrast from turning cold, and black-framed glass doors now open to the yard. In the primary bedroom, carpet gave way to wood floors and the sliding door to…
- [San Francisco Craftsman, Brightened](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/san-francisco-craftsman-brightened-pj-vj~7970977)
  - Location: San Francisco, CA
  - Photos: 4
  - Description: A San Francisco Craftsman, brightened without losing its bones. The house had dark finishes: a brick fireplace under an arch, dark wood cabinets and wall ovens on a red floor, a checkerboard shower in blue and red. We kept the proportions and the detail, and let the light in. The fireplace, painted white with every detail of the brickwork intact, is now the brightest thing in the living room, and the kitchen was rebuilt in white cabinets and open shelves, with black steel windows, black-and-whit…

- [Austin Lake House, Being Built](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/austin-lake-house-being-built-pj-vj~7970984)
  - Location: Austin, TX
  - Photos: 5
  - Description: An Austin lake house, kept quiet, light and soft at every edge. Now being built; these are the design renderings. We took a lakeside duplex back to its frame and made it one house, so we could choose the finishes alongside the architecture instead of after it. We kept the list deliberately short (pale oak, plaster and veined white stone) and let light and texture carry the rooms. The kitchen centers on a single sheet of veined stone set into a rounded plaster surround, with oak cabinets running…
