Bamboo is a general contractor using technology and global talent to deliver amazing remodels to residential customers in Austin, TX at around 20% to 30% lower cost than our competitors. We focus on residential remodels with a total budget of $10K or more. We do free 3D scans using a specialized camera that captures the layout and all the dimensions of your house and we provide free estimates for our clients too. We create quality 3D visuals for as little as $200 of what your remodel can look like. > Bamboo is considerably very new and as a business owner, I understand the their growing pains.  It was unfortunate that my kitchen remodel apparently took forever with several hiccups, but they were patience with my complaints and were persistence with the goal of completion.  They've discounted my labors in return of compensation.  I've given them suggestions how to improve their business and services, as i believe it's on their roadmap in the near future.  I really like their idea, however, it's the people that needs to improve their skills on their jobs.  They'll achieve it in no time.  Bamboo won't rip you off if you give them a chance.  I'm rating them a 3-star, but they get 5 for their consistency and loyalty.  Lower ratings are based on their time of completion.

> Bamboo was very quick to respond to my request for a 3D scan of our space.  They had their camera operator to our property within 48 hours of our request.  It took about 10 days from the time of the scan to receive the link to see the 3D scan of our house.  After that, we had a phone conference with Jacque, a Customer Success Manager to discuss with her exactly what we want to accomplish with the remodeling project.  She did a virtual walk through with us and made note of all of the changes we want to make.  The next step as we were told is to receive an estimate from Bamboo for the cost of our project.  We heard back from Jacque about two weeks later saying there has been overwhelming demand and that they would be able to start on our estimate in the first week of October (2019).  We ultimately did receive a very detailed cost estimate with both the labor and materials broken down line by line.  Bamboo's CEO, Justin as well as the other employees worked hard to make sure our needs were heard.

> Overall, we were very intrigued by the concept that Bamboo uses.  The 3D scan is a very useful tool and the interactions we had with Bamboo employees were positive. Our decision to use a different contractor came down to timing on our part.

> First let me apologize - it looks like your estimate got dropped when a couple of folks left our team and we didn't track through to the new estimators.  What happens today is:
> 1\. The walkthrough is scheduled within 2 days of the 3D scan being completed.
> 2\. The estimate is sent over within 3 business days of the walkthrough.

> Our estimates take longer to create than most other GCs, because we have a licensed civil engineer or architect from our team spend 6-8 hours measuring distances from the 3D scan and then providing a more detailed estimate including all measurements in a Google Sheet.

> I run Bamboo, and just got back to Austin after several months with our teams in Asia.  We still have the recording of your video walkthrough as well as your 3D scan.
