> Quality, Integrity, Value, Responsive, Creative, Multi-talented, Thoughtful, Caring. These are words that come to mind when I think of Kelcey and Tawnya Bingham, owners of Bear Mountain Builders.  Building a new home is not for the faint of heart, especially in Montana.  Kelcey and Tawnya provided guidance, suggestions and needed information to help us in this major investment from start to finish.  Building on the mountain requires additional knowledge because of extreme weather. They have it!  Tawnya and Kelcey are much more than just general contractors.  Although they routinely work with interior designers, they negated the necessity for us to hire one. Tawnya was all we needed. She took the time and effort to make multiple trips with us to choose tile, granite, flooring, etc, always providing her recommendations when asked. Kelcey is extremely innovative which allowed us to make the house unique in it's build, while tying everything seamlessly together.  Examples include the fireplace wall (floor to high ceiling) and using fragments of the huge overhead exterior beams to showcase in the powder room.  Their talents are immense, while still keeping an eye on budget and costs.  Kelcey and Tawnya are personable and they care.  We were always kept abreast of progress, changes, and status with monthly reports.  Subcontractors utilized by them were first rate.  Bear Mountain also stepped up in other ways that was over and above the norm.  When we had an offer to purchase our townhome, there were a few remediations necessary to close the sale.  They provided subcontractors during Montana's hectic summer months to address all issues, at a time when trying to secure these type of people through our own efforts would have been impossible in the timeframe the buyers of the townhome wanted.  They ensured we closed the sale so we could focus on our new home.  In conclusion, I heartily recommend Bear Mountain Builders, as they provide value and ingenuity throughout the entire process.  And most importantly, they are there for their clients to assist with any issues that might arise during the first year from a new build. Thoughtful, innovative...the best!!

> We chose Bear Mountain Builders in the summer of 2012 for our new home project.  Our home design is modern (rare for the area) and Bear Mountain had experience but also a bunch of ideas that complimented ours before and during the project.  We utilized Bear Mountain for a lot of details we didn't have time to finish with the architect on the front end.  They designed and built floating staircase, custom hand rails, custom steel on fireplace, custom steel on main hallway ceiling and more.  This is our third house we have built, and by far our favorite!

A: The pivot front door on this project was custom made by one of our local craftsmen in Montana.

A: The interior design and furniture package for our project was completed by Peter Dunham & Associates Interiors.  Good luck on your project!

Beautiful home!! Can you tell me more about the interior doors? Style, wood species, where you found them??

A: Thank you for the nice comment.  The interior doors are rift/quarter white oak with a matte lacquer finish and are custom made in our local shop.

Hi, what is the floor stain in this home?  Thank you.

A: This is a custom wood floor & color by Burchette & Burchette Wood Floor Co.

**Q: hot or cold rolled steel?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is that hot or cold rolled steel on the fireplace surround? Any patina added to achieve that look?

A: That is a good question.  We used Hot Rolled Steel for this particular project.  We installed with flush-head screws and wiped with a Penetrol clear finish oil.  Hot Rolled Steel in it's natural state arrives with "mill scale" that gives it natural patina.  Cold Rolled is more "silvery" in color and typically would need color enhancement to achieve this look.  Good luck with your project!
