> What more can I say? Lisa's transformations are amazing. Her designs and attention to detail are impressive. In speaking to Lisa regarding our home design, she had unique ideas and solutions for all of our questions. She is a talented professional!

**★★★★★ — sfarrellrealtor, March 2013**

> I have had the privilege of working with Lisa and LL Cool Homes on several of the beautiful houses that they have transformed. The quality of the work that they do and the integrity with which they operate is very hard to find with investors who "flip" properties. Referring to their houses as "flips" does not do them justice. They are thoughtfully and impeccably renewed to modern standards and houses that anybody would be proud to call home.

> Working with Lisa is a joy, she is a consumate profesional with an excelent eye for truly modern classical design, elegant with flair and with an uncanny ability to bring a job in on budget. After eight projects with Lisa, not one has been a diisapointment.

> As a certified Home Inspector I have witnessed first hand how Lisa and her team take a home with significant neglect and deferred maintenance and transform it into a home that competes in style and functionality with today’s newest homes. Lisa and her team are skilled in the latest construction techniques. And her homes are not only are updated according to today’s building codes but they feature the Lisa touch. Her thoughtful and masterful creative touches, along with high standards for fit and finish, are evident in every home she renovates. I have many experiences with home renovators and Lisa is clearly at the top of the heap.

> LL Cool Homes is the premier home remodeling company in the Bay Area. I have had the opportunity to work with Lisa on several of her homes. Lisa typically starts from scratch by removing the kitchen, bathrooms, base and crown, accoustic ceilings, windows and many times the roof. She spends time redesigning the layout of the home so that it is functional, sensible and so that the living room, family room, kitchen and dining room are open and have an inviting feeling. Her attention to detail is evident in the quality of material she uses and the people she works with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lisa and LL Cool Homes and in fact I already have.

  - Description: We loved getting our hands (and hammers) on this Livermore gem (courtesy of my friend Cathi Skyles). We worked outside-in removing the chunky rock and stuccoing the front of the house. The hallway separating the kitchen and the dining room came down creating an enormous great room with engineered hard wood floors and an incredibly modern and cool looking fireplace. The kitchen was gutted; the entrance to the laundry room closed off making it possible to add much more cabinet and prep space. The…

  - Description: This was a sad little house in Livermore…built in 1963 and not an upgrade since. Our vision was to create a modern masterpiece in suburban Livermore and here is the finished transformation. The wall between family room and living room needed to go. Removing it created a large and functional great room. A dining room that was right off the entrance was converted into a fourth bedroom. The finishes are ultra modern - white Thermofoil cabinets, gray quartz counters and sleek appliances. One of my f…

  - Description: I now love this Danville home but I didn’t always. It was clean and in great shape but suffered from closed off, boxy in rooms. Walls separated living room, dining room, kitchen, and family room. By removing all the walls we created amazing site lines and a great space for entertaining. The large kitchen counter features space for bar stools on both sides (and a super cool backsplash)! We refaced both fireplaces removing the chunky rock in the living room and replacing it with a fresh riff on a…

  - Location: Pleasanton, CA
  - Photos: 19
  - Description: The home already benefitted from its location; in Pleasanton’s most desirable neighborhood. It just needed a more contemporary look. Removing walls created better visibility. Now the expansive kitchen overlooks the dining room, family room and living room areas making it an entertainer’s dream. We added upgrades galore in the kitchen including quartz counters, a large Carrera marble island & backsplash, induction cook top, stainless appliances, an apron sink and a wet bar area with a wine fridge…

  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 11
  - Description: This hilltop home in the highly desirable Greenbrook neighborhood was simply outdated. With 5 bedrooms and many closed-off rooms the house didn’t have the spacious and open feel that today’s families desire. By removing the wall between the dining room and kitchen and creating a “picture window” into the family room we created a sizable living space showcasing the spectacular views of the San Ramon hills. The modern kitchen features a bar, two low profile double islands, a gas cooktop with conte…
- [Scarboro Place, San Ramon](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/scarboro-place-san-ramon-pj-vj~180443)
  - Location: San Ramon, CA
  - Photos: 13
  - Description: Of all our residential transformations Scarboro Place is the most dramatic. The house, which should have won an Emmy on Extreme Hoarders, was even more disgusting once the contents were finally removed. Original floors, carpets, cabinets and fixtures were badly decayed. The pool in the yard was beyond repair and required removal. In short, the house was in dire need of love and lots of it!! We got to work and in just 7 weeks gave it new life. The master bedroom was reconfigured to include a luxu…

  - Location: Pleasanton, CA
  - Photos: 7
  - Description: As remodels go this one was pretty easy; the floor-to-ceiling makeover was completed in just 4 weeks. Downstairs the antiquated kitchen was gutted and replaced with a modern kitchen taking advantage of the sizeable space – lots of storage and counter space! The brick fireplace was tiled over and features a glass tile mantle. We decided on a high quality laminate floor downstairs that looks beautiful and survives both kids and pets. All three bathrooms were gutted and now feature custom tile work…
- [Tarryton Isle, Alameda](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/tarryton-isle-alameda-pj-vj~105817)
  - Location: Alameda, CA
  - Photos: 12
  - Description: This house was a diamond in the rough, fortunate enough to be situated on a lagoon in Alameda. The previous owners took with them everything from the appliances and countertops to the AC unit. We updated the kitchen with designer granite counter tops and a one-of-a-kind custom sunburst tile mosaic backsplash behind the cook top. The bathrooms were gutted and remodeled with distinctive tile and granite and chic paint colors. The master bath features black and gold linen tile with a glass tile acc…
- [Mustang Ave, Danville](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mustang-ave-danville-pj-vj~105767)
  - Location: Danville, CA
  - Photos: 13
  - Description: This beautiful home had “great bones” but suffered from an outdated look. Additionally, too many walls made the house feel closed off. We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room and from the front entrance to the family room. Now the sight lines make it easy to cook dinner and watch the kids. Two rooms upstairs were combined, making a very large master suite with an enormous walk-in closet and a gorgeous custom en suite bath with a 2-person shower. Small touches like chalkboard pain…
- [Ruby Road, Livermore](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/ruby-road-livermore-pj-vj~105585)
  - Location: Livermore, CA
  - Photos: 5
  - Description: This dilapidated structure on Ruby Road probably should have been condemned. In addition to extremely foul pet odor/stains the house featured unpermitted additions both upstairs and downstairs. With a little LL Cool Homes love (and vision), two bedrooms downstairs were transformed into a gorgeous master suite complete with 2-person waterfall shower and walk in closet. We remodeled the additional master suite upstairs and revamped the other bedrooms and bathrooms. We created a gourmet pass-throug…
- [Mohr Ave, Pleasanton](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mohr-ave-pleasanton-pj-vj~105764)
  - Location: Pleasanton, CA
  - Photos: 7
  - Description: This house could have been featured on the TV show Hoarders. With a serious rodent infestation and a slew of other major problems, this house was a hazardous waste site that was diminishing the value of the other homes in the neighborhood. LL Cool Homes rescued it, knocking down the dining room wall, making over all the bedrooms and bathrooms, and adding French doors to the master suite along with a gorgeous en suite bathroom with custom glass tile accents.

A: The tile is a black and gold linen tile. Its gorgeous. I got it at The Floor Store but its been awhile and I can't recall name. Sorry...

**Q: Daughter's bedroom** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I need to brighten up my daughter's room any ideas? I will add a nightstand and use that lamp also will put a hutch or something like that on the empty wall

A: paint one wall with chalkboard paint. I painted one of my teen's walls (the other walls are teal and I completed the look with zebra print linens). Her and her friends LOVE it!! They graffiti, leave messages, its a huge hit! Chalk board paint not only comes in black but many other colors. But the walls do need to be smooth

**Q: Need to Update My Fireplace** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I would like to update the fireplace in my family room. I have a budget of $1,500.00. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. My thought is to also shorten the windows on both sides of the fireplace and add built in book shelves.

A: I love veneers but have you considered tile? I have found tile to be a very economical way to reface a fireplace and the possibilities are endless
