**★★★★★ — North South Construction Inc, Jan. 2013**

> North South Construction had a great opportunity 2 years ago to work with Peter from Blue Truck Studio. The drawings he designed for Shelby Lane
> were very modern with finish materials that were artistically chosen
> by Peter to make this completed project a contemporary master piece.
> Peter has the unique ability to bring colors, design and vision together
> to create a homeowners dream home.
> He also has a great relaxed attitude that will assure you that there is no such thing as a problem there are only solutions.

 - Description: Inspired by the light-and-space works of James Turrell, the design for the remodel of this Potrero Hill, San Francisco, house focused as much on the notion of providing a canvas for light as on the intent to allow light to travel deeper into the structure. The new serene minimalist architecture throughout the house allows the drama of changing light to activate the interior spaces and the finely curated aesthetic of its inhabitants to play out in their belongings. ## Community Q&A

**Q: what is the wood in the kitchen cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

what is the wood in the kitchen cabinets

A: Bamboo

**Q: What is the overhang (if any) of the countertop. Or is it flush?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The countertop overhang is about 1/8". We've spec'd it as less before, but the variations of where cabinet doors sit makes anything less a little risky for an awkward aesthetic. Also drips from the countertop tend to travel back into drawers/cabinets.

**Q: Could you please tell me the color stain you used on the floor? Thanks** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It's white oak, with a custom stain devised by our flooring guy. We did a few samples. I believe it was something like 3 parts white, one part grey. Sorry, wish I could be more specific.

You could contact the flooring sub: Patrick Stack, 415-333-3349. Ask him about the Shelby Lane project in Los Altos.

**Q: Wall paint color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What color paint is on the walls...to coordinate with the caesarstone blizzard counters?

A: I'm afraid I don't have good records of the paint colors, but I believe that is Benjamin Moore Super White.

**Q: 9×9 kitchen intetior decorator** *(in Photo Questions)*

kitchen

A: Hi Sunidhi... is this a question? We didn't have an interior decorator for the project.

**Q: Floor, Oak, A/B bleach?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi, I like your floor, is it red or white, and is it A/B bleached? What is the finish? Thank you!
