> The Regenesis team designed and renovated our drab backyard during the summer of 2015. The project included a gorgeous gabion wall filled with locally quarried stone as well as regrading the entire backyard to maximize the available space. They also installed a new irrigation system, including a Rachio wireless controller that allows us to monitor our watering needs remotely. I cannot recommend Zack, Jane, and the project team highly enough!

> I can't say enough wonderful things about Regenesis, Zack, Jane, and the devoted crew members. I hired Regenesis with the design, installation of landscape and hardscape as well as a large patio and fence. The craftmanship of the fence, arbors and deck is meticulous and it was a pleasure to work with the crew members. In doing the project, we came upon many other issues. Zack always carefully explained the issues, gave me options on how to move forward. They always had the expertise to carry out the tasks. Because of the beauty of the fence and landscaping, many people passing by either stop in their car or on foot to compliment the design and the quality. Because of my trust and confidence with Regenesis, I have hired their team to do other smaller projects. I know there are other options out there, but trust and quality are why I would recommend Regenesis.

**★★★★★ — Joanna Foster, March 2017**

> Regenesis created for us a beautiful English Country garden with an Oregon twist. Lead designer, Jane Alexanderr, created a lovely year round, perennial garden with an emphasis on color. Crushed granite pathways, a rock wall and a variety of handsome pots added grace throughout. Zack Williams, principal, and his entire organization were knowledgeable, approachable and enthusiastic. Highly recommend.

**★★★★★ — Rachel Barrett, March 2017**

> Regenesis planned and developed attractive, drought resistant, low maintenance landscaping for my house. They put in a watering system that communicates with a local weather station, conserving water and protecting the landscaping. As part of the initial investment they included a year of maintenance and plant replacement. They even used quiet chain saws when removing several large nuisance trees from the site. They removed large amounts of concrete and fixed my front sidewalk. They were also kind enough to cut up one of the removed trees into firewood.

**★★★★★ — User, March 2017**

> I have only great things to say about Regenesis. In brief, Zack Williams is an artist who paints with plants. He and his crew are easygoing, respectful, flexible, reliable and patient with client quirks. I've worked with Regenesis on 3 major projects, spent $40,500 over 7 years, and would hire them again in a heartbeat.
>
> I first hired Zack 7 years ago to landscape our yard from scratch. It had been flatted during a remodel and was a blank slate disguised as a mud pit. He came to look it over and I just "knew" he was the right person. He listened to my likes and dislikes and we went back and forth over the plantings. He came tree shopping with me at Plant Oregon and our house has since been wrapped in beauty. Part of the project was a new irrigation system which they have maintained to this day.
> Next, we drilled a well and got arsenic water so Zack designed and installed a reed bed to draw out the arsenic and feed clean water into our pond.
> Phase three was a massive cleanup following a disaster with tenants. Zack's crew ripped out the weeds, the grapevines unwisely planted over the septic, the dying or dead plants and installed a drought tolerant, low maintenance lawn.
> Zack is a font of knowledge and I trust his instincts. It's always fun to work with his crew and they even let my daughter sit in the backhoe! The company is always evaluating new ways to save water and care for plants. I could go on, but you should see for yourself.

**★★★★★ — Sue Fthenakis, Feb. 2017**

> Working with Regenesis has been a great experience for me. Jane listened so well when she came to see what my landscaping hopes were and created a wonderful design. The contract Zack gave me itemized every expense down to the last dripper head and the completed job stuck to the contract exactly. I wanted a less labor intensive landscape that would emphasize native and drought tolerant plants and they exceeded my expectations. I love the new design. I feel like I have my own private park and I can't wait for the warm weather to spend time out there. My friends and neighbors compliment the new look to the front of the house. It was a big project and no project of this complexity is totally free of unexpected issues but Zack was very responsive and solved every issue to my satisfaction. I found him to be highly reliable. I highly recommend Regenesis.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Trees** *(in Photo Questions)*

What type of trees are these?

A: Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata'.

**Q: Rookie Salvia ID request** *(in Salvia)*

HI Guys,
I didn't know salvia had a dedicated forum. After having one for over a month & seeing so many varieties in the stores, now I know why. Anyways, rookie here & planted this gorgeous Salvia. Came from HomeDepot but didn't have a cultivar(?) name. It simply said Salvia. From whatever I could research with google images, I think it is a Salvia Greggi or a Salvia Microphylla. Can you plz help me identify the kind it is. I'm just curious

A: Definitely a S. greggii 'Meadow Sage' variety. Looks like 'Lipstick' or 'Heatwave'.

**Q: Where is the firebowl from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Looking for something like this in Los Angeles and having trouble sourcing it.

~Tina

A: Tina, we fabricated this fire bowl from a 'Tank Head' purchased from Commercial Metal Forming, out of Chicago.

**Q: Where can I buy those planters? Thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Elena -

The planters were custom built for this project by a metal fabricator using 3/16" ASTM-A588 plate. We'd be happy to provide you with a quote, or you could contact a metal fabrication shop local to you and ask them to build some for you.

I believe these were approx. $350.00 - $400.00 each, including plants.
