## Community Q&A

**Q: Wood floors or tile?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are currently building a new home about 1 mile from the beach in Florida. I'd love to put down wood flooring but we're concerned about warping and buckling of wood, being so near to the ocean & the FL humidity.   Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated, especially from anyone who lives near water & has wood floors.

A: We exclusively build on the water here on Cape Cod and steer our clients to solid hard woods no more than 4 inches in with, any wider can lead to the flooring cupping. Good luck with your project, there's no substitute for the beach, Enjoy!

**Q: What is the colour on the shutters?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the colour on the shutters, are they painted or vinyl clad?

A: I believe its called admiral perry blue. They are solid PVC and the material is colored through so never any painting.
