We called him multiple times over the next month saying we wanted to ask questions and discuss options for the pathway and plants. He never called back. The next month we called repeatedly to ask when they were going to start our job. He finally called and said they would start soon and again we asked to talk about the plans. Ricky never made time to talk and we had to say in passing the material we wanted to use for the path. There was no prep, no weed barrier, no border, just crushed slate poured in a line. Instead of planting according to the landscape plan, a crew we hadn’t worked with before planted them randomly and in clusters rather than spacing them across the yard. Ricky was surprised when we said we wanted mulch around the plants. When the crews left, two large portions of the lawn were untouched. Ricky said he didn’t think we could see those parts. He did agree to finish these areas, brought in more plants and relocated some at our request. The first crew that did the hardscaping and built a stone wall were great, but that couldn’t make up for Ricky’s lack of communication and surprise when we questioned the haphazard installation and lack of attention to the path. Usually one request is plenty and I am happy to meet with my customers. As I explained to you regarding the pathways, weed fabric and edging are not automatic items when creating pathways. They would both add significant costs to the project. You told me the budget was firm and I was trying to respect that which is why I did not suggest either of those items. My surprise came at the end of the project, after multiple visits to the job site to check on progress, I was repeatedly told what a fantastic job we were doing. No place else to put two dumpsters. A: Yes I can give closer to precise pricing if you send me the dimensions. Standard ones range from roughly $750 to $1,800 all depending on size and type of material. If you can send me dimensions, I can send a better quote.
