After going through the budget (which turned out to be very accurate) and discussing a few key design features, she went to work building up the design for the rest of the project. We were amazed at how fast she quickly determined our style, and everything she started bringing into our house turned out to be bang-on perfect. It didn't take long before my wife and I completely trusted her judgement, and had no problems with her picking flooring, colors, fabrics, furniture (etc) without us having to tag along and comparison shop. Her skill of identifying our taste was incredible! > > We worked closely together to nail down the final overall design, and we all worked closely with our contractor to bring the design to life. She project managed our renovation, using her relationships with our contractor (and other trades) to ensure our project's outcome was as per our design. It was great that she had the ability to be at the house (with my wife and I at work) and coordinate various installations or just to manage the next step of the project. As we are at work during the day, it was a relief to know that Mel could handle this responsibility and jump into action when various issues came up. > > We let Mel accessorize our rooms after the renovation was complete, and aside from purchasing items that looked great, she was very mindful of the overall cost of the items.
