### Reviews

**★ — Sam, June 2024**

> We were very disappointed with our experience working with Renaissance GSB. They built an interior door and glass partition for an apartment renovation. First, the doors arrived more than three months after they were supposed to (despite being told several times throughout the process that they would be shipping "that week"). Second, once they arrived there were serious quality issues. The window dividers do not line up between the doors and the side panels. The locking system does not work well and rattles constantly. I would not recommend working with this supplier.

> Our project was perfectly completed and installed in May of 2016, but we recently had a minor repair issue (roller ball door latch) that we needed help with. I contacted the company and spoke with Cindy who asked me to send a picture of my issue so she could discuss the proper resolution with Trevor. I heard back from him the next day and he shipped me a replacement part (for free) that enabled me to fix the door without a contractor. Love my wine doors and would recommend this company to any one without hesitation. Trevor is artistic, a master craftsman and reliable. Thank you!!

> We are extremely happy with our Renaissance bronze front doors and patio doors. They are custom made and one of a kind. Trevor Markham is a master designer/creator and so nice to work with...Cindy Warren as well.

**Comment from Renaissance GSB:**

> Thank you, it was a pleasure to work with you!

> Update:
>
> To revise the last review I would like to correct the fact that I did talk to Cindy who answered the phone in March and every other time I called. She also returned my call on two occasions to give me updates on the delayed response from Trevor. At the time I put the review in, I was so upset and disappointed that I just made a blanket statement. Cindy really did try to help us and she was/is always pleasant on the phone. I really do appreciate her efforts to help us.
>
> We finally found a local person who was familiar with our door situation and he happen to be here doing some other things. When we talked about the doors I decided to try again and call Progressive. Cindy answered and we requested some sort of documentation that he could use to help. Cindy sent me a .pdf but it didn’t have the information he needed. I called back and asked her to please try to get Trevor to call back while my guy was here. It happened! Trevor called and he was able to explain things to my guy and now we have a game plan to fix the doors. I could not bring myself to give a better rating than two stars. The lack of communication is a problem.
>
> The doors are beautiful. It will be wonderful once they are fixed/re-installed correctly and I can feel safe using them.

> We purchased four bronze doors from Progressive Solutions in 2016 for almost 30K. We did have some problems with the doors when they arrived and it took many phone calls from our architect and from us before we could get a response. Trevor (he's either the owner or manager) did finally send some of his crew to fix the doors before they were hung. The problem I'm having now is the doors are very heavy and they have dropped down some. Since March of this year we have repeatedly attempted to contact Progressive Solutions and as of today, September 20th, we still have not received a phone call back. It's unacceptable after spending 30K on these doors that this company can not show us the common courtesy of returning our calls.

**★★★★★ — Tom Knisely, Sept. 2017**

> Renaissance Bronze Windows made our home an architectural marvel. Every room has a view that is framed beautifully by a custom Renaissance window. What is even more amazing are the shadows that are casted by the windows on our floors. Sometimes I will sit in a room and watch the shadow of the frame change with the light. Their customer service is excellent and what makes it even better is the pride they take in their workmanship. I highly recommend this company!

**★ — lmenick, Aug. 2015**

> This company has beautiful products. They have a average sales force. The follow through and punctuality is apprehensible. This job took and extra 5 months than estimated totally due to lack of organization and honesty on the company's part. I had to hire outside sources to get the job complete. I would not recommend .

**★★★★★ — longhornsone, Dec. 2014**

> We embarked on an extensive exterior remodel. Our house is a very traditional style which my wife and I were happy with. Our architect suggested bronze windows (i'll admit, we were skeptical at first). However, after seeing the drawings, we jumped in full bore. Once the first window arrived, we knew made made the right decision. The windows/doors are the centerpiece of the remodel and we love them!!

**★★★★★ — russelraper, June 2014**

> Progressive Solutions was involved in supplying jambs, doors & hardware for eight Bank of America's ADA remodels for projects in Brownsville to San Antonio. They also helped me with supplying all the restroom accessories for all of them too. This was a very complicated process because there were many items that changed throughout the process. Naomi, Javier and Don worked through the issues and made sure most of the items arrived at the various locations. We could not have accomplished our goals without the help of Progressive Solutions. Thanks you!

**★★★★★ — Devin Hennig, Dec. 2013**

> Progressive Solutions is a very reputable company in the San Antonio area with great customer service! Everyone is very easy to work with an responsive.

**Comment from Renaissance GSB:**

> Thank you Devin! We've enjoyed working with you. Best wishes for 2014!

**★★★★★ — dianaatx, Nov. 2013**

> We were looking for a durable, but attractive replacement back door. I discovered Koch doors had a fiberglass exterior/wood interior option. With all our interior trim being stained oak, this was a perfect solution. I called Koch and found that the nearest distributor to Austin was Progressive Solutions in San Antonio.
>
> Progressive was a pleasure to work with through the ordering process and had great customer service, even though I was buying just a single door.
>
> When the door was scheduled to arrive at Progressive, I received a call from Naomi letting me know that they would be making a commercial delivery to Lakeway. They were willing to bring my door with them, at no additional cost, and I could arrange to meet the crew to take delivery, and avoid a trip to San Antonio. Being a very busy time I welcomed this solution and arranged to meet the crew in Lakeway. Once we met, they not only unloaded the door from their van, but carefully loaded it into my truck and even helped me with the tie-down straps. They were extremely professional and polite, and made the entire process a very positive experience.

**Comment from Renaissance GSB:**

> Thank you Diana! It was a pleasure working with you.

**★★★★ — Dale Griffin, June 2013**

> Progressive Solutions has provided the Acoustic Treatment program with locks no one else in town would even consider trying to bring in on a small amount basis. Great company to work with.

**★★★★★ — Carl Nelson, May 2013**

> Progressive Solutions installed a Fleetwood 16x10 triple sliding glass door in our Model Home in Menger Springs and it has been very well received. We have installed ten similar sliding door units since. The product works flawlessly and the pricing is very competitive.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Modernize a Wine Room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Houzz Community - Looking for ideas on how to modernize my Wine Room. The second photo is the entrance door to the wine room where no one knows that its a Wine Room until we open up the door. We would like to make it more of a feature piece to the house. The last photo is the existing racks for the wine room. Your ideas are appreciated.

A: Hello Peter Deltondo, we would be happy to help you on your project! We are a custom manufacture of genuine solid bronze wine cellar doors made in Texas. Our thermally broken doors would be a great fit for this, they showcase your collection while still protecting it. Feel free to checkout our website www.rgsbronze.com or call us, we would be happy to answer any questions.

**Q: Stone specification** *(in Photo Questions)*

What stone variety was used? Looks beautiful. Thanks!

A: Hello, thank you for your question @simontlittle we only provided the custom genuine solid bronze windows for this project but the stone that was used in this kitchen would be limestone. Feel free to check out our website www.rgsbronze.com or reply back if you have any further questions!

**Q: wood stain on your floor is beautiful** *(in Photo Questions)*

What stain and wood used please . I cant seem to find a stain.

A: Hello Kim Beyer,
Thank you for the questions, We only provided the genuine solid bronze windows for this house. WoodCo supplied the flooring for there project so you might find it useful to reach out to them. There website is https://www.woodco.com/

If you have any more questions or are looking for some custom one of a kind windows feel free to reach out to learn about our product, we would love to work with you.

**Q: Help black windows on back GRIDS or NO GRIDS?** *(in Windows)*

Hello and help! We are ordering black windows and I am doing 2x3 grids on the front and struggling with what I should do on the back of the house. All natural white oak floors all white walls but I am struggling with grids or no grids on the back of the house. I love the traditional house and I love the modern look. We would love to change the lower left window on the back to look like the last photo with grids but would it be terrible to do the rest in open picture windows? We are for sure doing no grids on the slider. Is there a modern but still pretty alternative kitchen window w/ no grids for the kitchen? I want it to be cohesive but I love both. Any and all opinions welcome!!!!! I order windows TODAY and it’s a huge huge purchase. Oh and yes we had a house fire the week prior to Christmas in 2020. Fun way to end the year lol! The back windows will not have a transom and I did a black electrical tape mock up for fun. Thank you all!

A: Hello Jennifer White,
Sorry about your house fire. I would go with grids on your back of the house to add more character, at the same time you want to make sure your manufacture has narrow site lines so it does not intrude on your view to the outside. For your kitchen window I love the idea of going with an accent piece! Best of luck with your project!

**Q: In Home Wine Cellar** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have seen a number of wine cellars with glass walls both solid and with what looks to be aluminum framing. I was wondering what thickness of glass is normally used for the cellar in a home? Is it 1/4 inch thick or 1/2 inch thick or some other thickness. Where do you typicall source the glass walls from? Thanks.

A: Hello Tim Hall,
We specialize in wine cellar enclosures. We make our frame out of genuine solid bronze, the best material on the market. We use tempered insulated glass to properly protect your wine. Along with this, we also have thermally broken and non thermally broken frames depending on the style you would like your cellar to be, both of our product lines, Revival and Nexus have narrow site lines, and are custom-made in San Antonio, TX.

**Q: Glass wall thickness** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you please advise the thickness of the glass walls of the cellar. Is it 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch or something else?

A: Hello, I don't know about this particular wine cellar. But we manufacture genuine solid bronze wine cellar enclosures, and have made product very similar to this. The type of glass we use is insulated tempered glass which is 1" thick. Feel free to check out our website! www.rgsbronze.com
