Enjoy your new counters! \- Pental Surfaces **Q: Seal 3dbloom tile?** *(in Photo Questions)* I have the 3d bloom tile in my shower and my contractor wants to seal it as well as the grout. I'm worried it will change the appearance. Did you seal your tile? A: Hello - thanks for your question. We don't usually suggest you seal porcelain tile, as it has a very low absorption rate so sealing isn't necessary. If you did seal it, that shouldn't change the appearance too much, but may leave a clear layer on top of the tile and could make it look shinier or could create a texture on the surface that may collect more dirt. **Q: Is this tile glazed or sealed? And how do you best clean it?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Hello - thanks for your question. Ardesia is a porcelain tile that is a color body with a glazed surface. Using a sponge or soft bristle brush, and a standard tile cleaner that is non-bleached preferred. For stubborn spots try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or a steam mop. This porcelain does not need to be sealed – if it was sealed it may create an addition texture that adds to its build up.
