Interior design and Fine Art placement.

Soraida Bedoya relates design to the journey that inspires each person’s response to beauty, home and lifestyle. This means putting people at the center of design. Listening to clients and what drew them to their home in the first place is the beginning and end of discovering thoughtful design -design that provides beautiful ways to truly live in a home.

Soraida’s 14 years of design industry experience, is founded on her training as a fine art sculpture, her studies in art history and a keen fascination for objects as story- tellers. Her designs emphasize balance to create clean and beautiful environments that lean toward the modern yet remain elegant, livable and refined.

Soraida’s interior design work has been featured in HC&G Magazine, her artwork in Interior Design Magazine, HC&G and News Day. She has participated in numerous Hampton Designer Showhouses. After many years of living and working in Eastern Long Island Soraida is now based in New York City.

> Excellent, well-refined Interior Design. Not over-designed, but very elegant clean aesthetic. Very upscale, and very consistent. Professional and courteous in all manners.

> We renovated our entire house and hired Related Arts to help us with the furnishings and other design elements. This included new furniture as well as bookcase design, wall colors, and wood, tile and stone selection for floors, counter tops and back splashes. We enjoyed the entire process working with her. She is professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. She was able to keep within budget and got along very well with our construction crew. We're extremely happy with how everything turned out and how our living spaces feel relaxed and inviting. We would definitely use Related Arts again and highly recommend her to anyone!

> I give my highest recommendation for Soraida Bedoya with Related Arts for interior design and decorating. We worked with Soraida on both of our homes in the The Hamptons and in NYC. Her artistic approach, sense of color and space, and ability to get along with everyone makes her a pleasure to work with. She does not over decorate! She is also able to stick to a budget and has excellent relationships with vendors, such as wall hanging and upholsterers, carpenters etc. Within her control (as some things are not) she was able to stick to timelines and create an amazing end product. I did not fully appreciate til our recent House Warming party, truly what a professional and gorgeous job she did on our city apartment. I think the most frequent compliment of friends was how amazing her sens of color is. I also appreciated (again more after the fact when I had to deal with some vendors on my own) her ability to shield me from the not important, annoying disappointments that would come along, and provide solutions when they did.

> I hired Soraida at Related Arts to remodel my house, a 3 bedroom two story house. I'm so happy with the results that I can't even imagine living in the house the way it was before. After initially looking at the house she gave me a detailed plan of what she was proposing and showed me various samples of furnitures and colors she was thinking of. There were details I hadn't thought of like putting in molding around all the windows. These details made a huge difference once the project was done. Other than furnishings the work entailed refinishing the floors, molding on the windows and covering up an ugly red brick fireplace with concrete and painting it with a really great effect that makes it look more like rock.

> It's a pleasure living in my house now and the project was brought in on time and very close to the estimate she originally gave me. I would hire her again without any hesitation.

> I hired Soraida as my interior designer to assist with the a new home I built in Shelter Island NY. I could not be happier with the results; she was in all respects professional and timely; we never had an issue about budgets or money and the place reflects my tastes and sensibilities. The best way to describe her work is to say that the interior looks gorgeous but not not forced or sterile - it doesn't look studied or like a hotel, it's my home; She found craftsman for some details that are remarkable and warm; I would definitely hire her again.

A: Hi Made Goods may still make it... hope that helps

**Q: What is the paint color on the wall???** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi paint color is bm abalone 2108-60

**Q: Backsplash blunder** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My friend just had her kitchen remodeled. She has exceeded her budget and just saw the completed backsplash, which she hates! Is her only choice to either live with it or to have it taken down and start over? I have to agree it definitely "fights" with the beautiful granite.

A: Certainly not a builders grade 3x6 but from the image it doesn't appear that you have too much square footage so a reasonably priced handmade white or off white 3x6 is a very nice background to all the nice details of the kitchen, including the granite... see image for example of tile even if kitchen is a different style.
