At the beginning of the Pandemic my client's changed their habit of eating out multiple nights a week . They began cooking together and realized it was time to update the kitchen. By removing a wall between the Den and the Kitchen, we created an open kitchen plan that allowed for an oversized island. We listened carefully to my client's request for an organized and functional space. They wanted lots of bells and whistles, AKA accessories, including storage for spices and dish drawers in the island. The 2 fabulous stainless steel roll out pantry shelf systems are the wife's pride and joy. My clients are thrilled with Helene's attention to detail as well as her presence during construction and installation, The home was built in 1942 so there were definitely some walls that had shifted and other challenges once we opened the walls. The client supplied their own stone for this kitchen (he was an architect), and I know it is quartzite yet was purchased many years ago. Countertop is Sea Pearl Quartzite Glass is clear glass and we created the custom mullions and faux finished locally. Artist uses his own unique materials that he does not share.
