I wanted to show you a different kind of before and after to give you more great ideas to inspire a remodel or addition to your house! What do you think of this awesome garage we added? A: This is awesome! I love the garage doors and driveway. Great work CRC Builders! **Q: Front Landscape Transformation in Old Town Alexandria, VA** *(in Before & After)* Site: the front landscape of a townhouse in Old Town Alexandria, VA which featured an ivy covered slope, overgrown species, stairs and a porch that were in decline. Issues: Add form to the landscape and make it more functional. Design: The design called for the removal of the ivy, installation of stacked stone retaining walls to hold the slope, the form of which was repeated on step and porch risers. The steps and porch were both renovated; and a terrace was created behind the upper retaining wall. Shrubs, perennials and grasses were added.After photo of the completed project. Congrats on a job well done! **Q: Driveway Transformation** *(in Before & After)* It is crazy how much of a difference your driveway makes to the curb appeal of your home. We replaced this old, cracked driveway with new pavers, and it makes the world of a difference! Let us know what you think. A: The new pavers were much needed for the curb appeal and it looks very welcoming now. **Q: Chic Basement Lounge** *(in Before & After)* This basement was stuck in the 90’s and the homeowners were ready for a more custom basement they could use for entertaining family and friends. Reason to Remodel: Even though the basement was large and open, the space appeared sectioned off, causing awkward and underutilized areas throughout. The homeowners were ready for a space to enjoy that fit their style. Design Approach: The goal was to achieve an engaging room to enjoy with family and friends that fit the homeowner's’ style. The updated space consists of new, dark cabinetry with open shelving and glass cabinet doors. These are perfect for displaying bottles and glasses. The existing structural beam was encased with rich, dark wood that matched the cabinetry and adds an architectural feature to the space.
