Their own workers are superb craftsmen who ensured everything was absolutely perfect (some of their sub-contractors were significantly less, but the Cossentino team did follow up to ensure we were satisfied).  In addition, they had contacts everywhere so we found great service in choosing cabinets, appliances, etc. Every one of them was a pleasure to work with; note: no one tried to up-sell us on anything!  They took the time to go over pluses and minuses on every choice - we're absolutely delighted with the final result!  They stayed on the project timeline throughout - note, you don't get a great job overnight; it took time, but no more than we were told it would.  We did find a few little things (old wiring, some plumbing that we chose to improve), but the additional cost was minimal - essentially right on budget.  The team made the whole experience as easy for us as they could.

**Q: what type of wood is the countertop of the island made from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The island countertop is End Grain Saple Mahogany with a Super Distress, Black Glaze and a finish treatment of Durata (does not reqire periodic recoating).  The thickness is 2" and the edge profile is Ogee.
