> We LOVE our new porch by Structurally Speaking! We had a very specific idea about what we wanted when we started the process. Jim Brennan listened, took our idea, refined it, and came up with a design that fit our needs MUCH better. Rather than just building what we initially told him we wanted, he asked how we intended to use the porch, what our goals were for the space, etc. We are thrilled with the final project and so happy that we went with Jim/Structurally Speaking and not with another contractor! Jim and his crew(s) are all professional, detail oriented, and do great work. Best decision we could have made. The EZE Breeze window are wonderful, the (freeze-proof) porcelain tiles are beautiful and look perfect on the porch, and the blue ceiling is exactly what I dreamed of! And our granddaughters love the colors in the electric fireplace—it can be used without heat, so it is often on when they are here. If you are considering a porch project, look no further than Structurally Speaking!

> Jim at Structurally Speaking and his crew were incredible. I really can not say enough good things about them. Jim helped us design a new deck and pergola, and his experience was very evident in the final product. He is very detail orientated, and the final product shows it. Simple things that I did not think about such as flow patterns and steps/sitting areas for example. My prev deck I had a company build it, and they did not ask any questions about our intentions for use/what furniture we planned on using etc. Jim asked all those questions so he could make the most use of the space available. Now the deck seems sooo much bigger because it was designed better. He really took the time to see what our needs were and matched the deck to those needs. We also added a lower level deck for a hot tub, and Jim even looked at sight lines from the road in different areas to make recommendations on location/design to help improve privacy from the neighbors etc.
> I am very picky as a homeowner, and Jim and his crew far exceeded our expectations.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love the porch! Dimensions?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Barbara, this porch was extended out, from its original size. I believe it was 12' wide by 16' or 18' deep.

**Q: Can this be modified to be smaller on the cemented area?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Lower area is a deck.

**Q: Siding color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

By any chance do you know the siding brand and color on this house? It's SO pretty!

A: No, I only did the deck addition. Most house colors, in most of the neighborhoods, in the Raleigh are, are chosen from Sherwin Williams. You may want to go to the SW store and ask to look at their color wheel.

**Q: like this plan** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the dimensions???

A: Judith, thanks for the question. I did this porch over 12 years ago, so I'm not sure if I remember the exact dimensions. probably 15' width x 16' deep. The dimensions aren't really important, from a design standpoint. It can be modified.
