**Q: Long unbalanced living room!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Recently purchased a home and I have a long awkward front to back living room. The focal point should be the fireplace but I need space for a TV that I would rather not place on the mantle. Thinking about splitting the room up to allow for an area for our "office"/ desk. The other issue is the the room has a nook that creates a tough corner to work with. Any suggestions? 
The furniture in the pictures is the sellers and not mine. I'm thinking this furniture is way to big for the space!

**Q: A/V Powered Cabinet/ Box Ideas** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are placing the tv on the wall over the fireplace and I am looking for a powered box to place my dvd player, cable box and xbox. Has anybody used this before? We ran a HDMI cable through the wall to the back of the tv. I'm looking for a box that I can plug everything in to.

**Q: I love this AV Cabinet, does the Grill interfere with Remote Signals?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm wondering if a remote control is still able to be used through this metal looking grill, which also allows for airflow i imagine.  If a remote signal works through this grill I imagine it eliminates the need for expensive IR extenders?

A: An equipment rack is sure to use RF not IR, and cost more than a IR repeater.

**Q: hunter douglas or Lutron motorized or battery?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

anyone out there have motorized shades.  deciding between hunter douglas or Lutron motorized system.  the other option is just to go battery operated instead of hard wiring .  because im preconstruction i have both options.  any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

A: Lutron is the best product on the market.  The low voltage roller shades are silent, connect to control systems and can be controlled iPhones. In new construction the smaller low voltage option is better than 120v.
