The philosophy behind our work is deeply rooted in the respect of native functioning ecosystems and an appreciation of beautiful residential gardens. We believe that a residential landscape no longer has to be a place that is intensively managed and a high input environment. With careful consideration to the surrounding environment and local ecology, we strive to create beautiful, diverse and productive landscapes for our clients.

Developing an intimate knowledge of the site through in depth analysis of current conditions
Locally sourcing native plant material grown in this climate
Providing habitat for wildlife and beneficial insects
Using organic principles and materials to implement our designs
Recycling water and keeping it on-site for plant use to cut down on irrigation and water costs
Incorporating annual and perennial edibles into the garden when desired
Using plants that perform a variety of functions to contribute to the health of the garden

Beauty comes in many forms and by using these strategies we can create beautiful gardens for our clients that span across the entire spectrum of the meaning of the word.
