> Do not hire this company, Aaron told me going out of business, probably just another lie. I spent over 130k here, and honestly they seem like nice people, Aaron and Heather, but just lies, no quality standard by the owner Aaron, if you don’t catch it don’t count on him saying anything. Flooring put in terrible, then they painted it and tell me they fixed by steam cleaning only to find out on my own he is staining brand new floors and it doesn’t match, leaking sinks, clogged drains (drywall, tile and what not just left in drains) leaking tub (forgot plumbers putty). Put island hood in, just exhausted to attic, left hose and connection to roof laying in attic?? What a unprofessional place, wiring by the incompetent. Do not put yourself thru this, working with untruthful people, with zero standard to safety and quality..these guys should be ashamed at the standards they set, Aaron has zero quality standards and like I say, he will make every excuse possible, usually blaming his people and not realizing he is the people. Terrible..

> No communication, lack of professionalism. They were recommended to us, by what I now realize was the owners buddy, so we originally very badly wanted them to put in a new shower for us. Called two dozen times, left nice messages, sent a couple emails, got one call back somewhere near call 4 and was told by the owner to await my quote. Never came. Never responded to any follow-up emails. No call back even from the gals who answer the phones. Called Great Floors in Mount Vernon and they came out the next day and started the work the following week. Still haven’t heard back from cutting edge. Wasted a lot of time waiting for them, glad they never came thru in the end after reading all the bad reviews online.

**Comment from Cutting Edge Kitchen and Bath:**

> I am sorry you feel this way. I am sure you have seen what is going on in our country and specifically our state that there is a pandemic called Covid-19 and our governor has shut down all non-essential businesses. Unfortunately our business has been deemed by the governor to be non-essential thus shutting us down and not allowing us to work. You state that there has been no communication but if you indeed called the office phone number "two dozen times" you would have heard the same voicemail each time that gives you a forwarding number, which is a cell number, to call since we are no longer at the office durning this statewide shutdown. Also, there is also a long notice on the home page of our web site under "Covid-19 Update" that gives all this information along with much more as to what we are doing during the governors mandate to remain closed. I checked all of our email, the phone logs at the office, the call logs on the cell phone, and checked the voice mails as well and there was nothing on any of those from anyone by your name. I will say that I am glad you were able to find someone else that was able to complete your job since it sounds like your project, in your eyes, was essential. I can assure you we would like to get back to work here as well, but have chosen to do what we can while still abiding by the Governors mandate.

> We used cutting edge kitchen and bath for our kitchen and after spending almost 20,000 they didn’t even complete the job and still asked for another $200. Out kitchen is still unfinished and we are dissatisfied! We had to hire another contractor to finish our work. Aaron is nice in the beginning but once he was given his first check he turned cold and didn’t care about our project after that. Do not recommend at all.

> We used cutting Edge to design our new kitchen and purchase our cabinets. They were also very open to working with me doing a lot of the work on the kitchen myself. They were so helpful at every step helping us get our cabinets during a sale, working on multiple iterations of the kitchen design, and even working with the cabinet manufacturer to get replacement cabinet doors when the originals had some problems. Can’t say enough about how great Aaron and Heather were to work with.

**★ — Bill & Cyndi Peters, May 2018**

> We were told our master bath laundry remodel would be a couple months. It took just over five months. The owner always had an excuse for things going wrong. Several employees and subs either quit or were fired during the course of project. At first it was full speed and then it felt like we got put on the back burner.
> Wrong items were ordered, low quality items arrived that we chose to replace, or some not ordered at all which delayed the project. They can't seem to get quality tradesman hired so projects are done by the inexperienced. Poor quality of work caused multiple redo's, repairs and many delays.
> It took four weeks to hang drywall. Sections would come down due to plumbing and electrical still not being finished. Water lines were not tested properly resulting in two water leaks. Both draining down to our living and dining room with new holes in drywall in the living room and guest bath that took a couple redo’s to make acceptable. One leak even resulted in the removal of a brand new tile.
> During the project, we asked for updates, but did not get any. With their cost and what we provided, ended up $13k over.
> The only saving grace was a wonderful subcontractor that did an amazing job installing the shower and floor tile.
>
> Update: The smell of sewer gasses that we complained about still fill our bathroom when we use the dishwasher, laundry washer, take a shower or bath. We narrowed it down to the laundry line, needs further investigation. Not having them back to fix it. Will hire a plumber ourselves to fix. The outlet by storage cabinet does not have power. Will have to hire a separate electrician. The towel bar fell down. Not surprised because they messed up hanging it in the first place. Got larger wall mounts and hung it ourselves.

> Our Master Suite remodel was to take 6 weeks. Over 18 months later the final water damage repairs to our home are complete (we hope). We suffered through delays, water leaks that damaged other rooms, incorrect measurements causing delays in cabinets, poor workmanship. The list goes on and on. We were told up front that the crew would be here every day until the project was done. Not true. The crew was constantly pulled to other jobs and we were left hanging. Most of the crew were new to the job and did not know what they were doing. This was the worst experience ever.

**Comment from Cutting Edge Kitchen and Bath:**

> Carla,
>
> Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us.
>
> We appreciate your feedback even if it was not as positive as we hope for on each of our projects. We agree that we had several challenges with your project with crew members that caused delays. Having crew members that were not at the quality level we want for any project had definitely caused delays in your project. Because of our standard it was impossible to keep those people on board with us, but unfortunately this caused delays.
>
> Even though we struggled at times, we take pride in the fact that we did not abandon your project and came out on nights and weekends to see your project through to completion. Your project was a large remodel that had many moving parts. We have definitely learned and made improvements to our team members and processes since your project several months ago. Having made these changes we are able to offer a much more refined process to our remodels. From our design program to project managers we have changed our systems to ensure customers receive a much better experience. We sincerely wish we could have provided a better experience for your project as this is not what we strive to do on any remodel.
>
> We hope you enjoy many years in the amazing bathroom, laundry room, and new bedroom we created for you and that future projects go much smoother for you.
>
> Best,
> Cutting Edge Kitchen and Bath

> Professional, complete, and quality work. They did a wonderful job remodeling our kitchen which included: removing the old granite countertops and backsplash and all that entailed, as well and installing the quartz counters, new sink and backsplash.

> The staff at Cutting Edge are Professional in every sense of the word, from the design stage to the install and finish stage. My Wife and I are thrilled with the results. Highly recommend them for your Kitchen Projects. Bruce and Jackie Wheeler

> Before beginning this “review”, we want to thank Cutting Edge Kitchen & Bath (CEKnB) for not only revitalizing our 37 year old kitchen, but completely transforming our kitchen - now modern, dynamic, and a joy to work in. CEKnB first evaluated our kitchen’s electrical footprint, determining that “yes” current circuits could support operation of an induction stove. A personalized “design” process, explored and refined our concepts. We wanted American made products – CEKnB recommendations for tile, cabinets, fixtures and appliances were all “top shelf”, affordable, USA made and made as locally as possible. CEKnB kept our budget foremost in mind, not hesitant to let us do the demolition, and other “self help” items, so not to exceed the budget. Project also included, within budget, extensive remodel of downstairs half bath. When unforeseen issues presented themselves, we worked in partnership to resolve them. Contract modifications were kept to a minimum. Results, as you can see, are amazing, exceeding our expectations. When working with CEKnB, don’t be surprised that you become part of their family.

> The team at Cutting Edge Kitchen and Bath were a terrific team to work with throughout the entire remodel. The design changed significantly from the original design and the team didn't hesitate to take on the new challenges. They kept me informed as timelines changed (a damaged cabinet set us back a couple of weeks). There were also things that I was responsible for and I was kept in the loop as to when those items needed to be on site or completed (specialty sink, wallpaper, faucets, light fixtures and barn door and track). The team was also great with recommendations (Cambria windowsills when I commented that it was time to sand and revarnish - a job I never have to do again! The outlet on the island with plug in and double USB.). They also researched when I asked if Schrock cabinets had a rolling cabinet and if I could get one with my Cambria top. The showroom has a great selection of cabinets, sinks, hardware, and most importantly large countertop slabs. I could prop my cabinet door selection, floor sample, and glass sink against slabs then step back and really get a good idea of whether they worked together or not. I can't stress enough how terrific the entire staff was to work with if this project. The end result of this remodel was even more impressive than I ever imagined!

**★★★★★ — User, Sept. 2016**

> We spent several months (and countless hours at home shows) researching our kitchen renovation from a simple reface to moving walls and replacing everything. Once we decided what we wanted we ran into companies asking us to write a check or sign a blank contract before presenting ideas and kitchen designers telling us we didn’t understand how we use our kitchen as well as they do. Then we connected with the team from Cutting Edge. We met at their spacious showroom in Smokey Point and after a brief chat sat down at the computer and started building the kitchen we wanted for our home. With their large displays of cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile and knobs in their showroom we were able to pick out the style combination we wanted without having to make the rounds to several specialty stores. Work started on schedule, the crews did a great job protecting the rest of the house and the job came in under bid. Most importantly we come home to the kitchen we have always dreamed of! We look forward to working with Cutting Edge again in the near future for our bathroom upgrade.

> I am very pleased with the bathroom remodel by Cutting Edge. I didn't have an exact idea about what I wanted and I was guided through the process expertly. There was always good communication and employees arrived when expected.

## Community Q&A

**Q: countertop measurements** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the dimensions of the countertops? Is there a seam?

A: Thanks for the question. Yes, there is one seam that runs diagonal between the short and long section of the Island. It is very had to see unless you look real close. The dimensions of the shorter section is 66 1/4" by 40" with a 15" overhang. The longer section with the stove top is 109" x 36" with a 12" overhang.
