Chris and peter helped us with the stone selection process and had a exotic stone on site that was perfect for our kitchen. > > We also had a tile budget for our fireplace surround and we asked if this was something they could do with stone and pointed us to some additional material that they had on site. It really makes the process a lot easier when the material is right in front of you. The fireplace insert would not fit in place after install do to a mistake that I made not them, and chris came right back out and made the modification right on the spot. > > We went back 3 weeks later for a small piece for the laundry room and they took care of us right away. I was told it is quartzite and is as durable as granite....but now some else has mentioned quartzite is not, it is more like marble and not recommended for kitchen counter???? I am confused?? Any answers?? A: Super White Quartzite is a mixture of quartzite and limestone as well as other minerals. This is not to be confused with quartz countertops. Quartzite is a natural stone and is harvested from the earth. super white quartzite has quartzite in it but is not 100% quartzite - No stone is 100% of one mineral.
