Love the corner bed - Where can I get something like it? - I really want to situate my bed in the corner like this photo, but cannot find a headboard that has two sides like this one. Any ideas? Doesn't need to be exact one.

Yes, if you are looking to purchase a Hunter Douglas product then you can find a dealer near you by going to their website (, and at the bottom right corner there is a place to type your zip code and it will find the nearest dealer.

I assume this is a twin bed. Can you tell me about the fabric please. - My full size bed is angled into the room which leaves a trianguar gap behind the head of the bed. This idea is fab. I'd like to have a panel on the long side of the wall but do like the fabric for the window shades. Got to go measure!

CHANDOS INTERIORS..... - You say this room is eclectic. I'd say it's more contemporary. Love your use of yellow stripes on the walls. Yellow is such an under used color. The side table is a dainty delight. Well done, you've given me so many ideas. Go from strength to strength. Jedanna South Africa.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Charmean Neithart Interiors added this to 8 Frame and Bedding Matchups for a Beautifully Made Bed
Take advantage of a corner placement by adding a return to an upholstered headboard. Corner bed placement can be tricky, because making the bed is difficult. This custom bed frame with a side return allows for finger space between the wall and bedding for easier access. Consider a crisp, pleated skirt to keep the look simple. This is my favorite type of skirt, with simple pleats at the corners and one pleat in the center. The absence of pillows adds to the paired-down vibe.See how to create a corner headboard

Extend an upholstered headboard. This gives the bed a stronger presence. It's a good opportunity to get more mileage out of a fabric and create a daybed feel in the corner.

13. Get your guest room ready in minutes. First of all, keep the bed made so you don't have to worry about that. Next, devote a shelf in your linen closet to storing guest room essentials, so you can just grab the whole stack and go. Consider including: a fresh set of towels, slippers, a robe and a small basket of spare toiletries.Bonus: Stock the bedside table with interesting books, magazines, chocolates and a carafe of water.

4. Use a daybed. A daybed can help create the illusion that the room is more of a small sitting area, instead of a small bedroom that’s been taken over by a bed. Daybeds often have storage built in underneath too — another bonus for a small room.

Likewise, if your guest room has a daybed, make sure it’s set up for guests to sleep on before they arrive. (Stash all those extra throw pillows out of sight.)
Laura Gaskill added this to How to Dress Your Daybed
If You Use Your Daybed as a BedDress it with crisp sheets, a folded duvet and a tailored bed skirt. Go with classic bedding, like crisp white hotel-style sheets and a matching duvet. The tailored bed skirt helps the daybed look smart. This look works well for a daybed in a guest room.

3. Fill the room with flowers. In a sparsely decorated space, fresh blooms go a long way. While you’re at the market picking up produce for the meal, grab a bundle of buds to show your guests that they aren’t an afterthought.
Aditi Sharma Maheshwari added this to How to Find More Space in a Small Bedroom
3. Consider multifunctional or hidden furniture. Choose furniture that can perform more than one function. This bed, for instance, folds up to become a sofa.
