We do have cat doors, too. So we continuously have visitors. Two cats from the neighbourhood and our cats bring in living prey that we have to catch in the middle of the night. On the other hand we can go on a trip for 2-3 days without having to worry about the cats because they use the garden toilet and the garden amusement-park.

That is such a convenient place to put a pet door. It's not in the way of the actual door, but it still allows the dog to have free access to the outdoors when he needs to. We've been thinking about putting one on our door, but I think that I like this idea better. http://www.jimsglass.com.au/pet-doors.php

Beautiful kitchen. I am puzzled though...Is that a heater under the bar? Thanks!

I don't see any support brackets for the countertop overhang. Is that safe to do with soapstone?

- I'm just wondering if there is some integrated solution that I'm not seeing in the pic. Thank you.

We have an 18" overhang on an 8' run with 18" deep posts at each end. Can we use soapstone or would we also need a support in the middle?
