Would you be able to provide an approximate square footage of the sitting areas both in front of the fireplace that looks to be on a lower level, as well the rod iron eating table area? Beautiful backyard!

It's like a green shag carpet. I think it goes great with the setting. I'm curious how it holds up though. Florida weather can be a real pain so it's good to take caution when choosing any type of plants.

The stone wall was constructed using standard industry practices. A concrete footer is poured, with cinderblock stacked and mortared in place on top of the footer. Then the cinderblock is faced with the stone and the wall cap is secured.

The two bushes in the lower front are Buxus Green Velvet or more commonly known as Boxwoods. Although they will grow to a size of 3 - 4 feet in diameter, these will be routinely trimmed to maintain their current size.

3. Outdoor living on the East Coast. This winding pathway through a lush lawn brings visitors to a backyard haven. Leafy landscaping and outdoor lighting are just a few of the elements Houzzers liked.
Laura Gaskill added this to How to Choose the Right Solar Lights
Pay attention to the hue. Since most solar-powered lights today use LED bulbs, the light they emit is bright white. If you want the look of incandescent bulbs, look for solar lights with tinted covers — they may be labeled “amber” or “soft white.”You get what you pay for. The brightness of a solar light depends on the brightness of the sun and the amount of daylight it is exposed to — but it also depends on the quality of the photovoltaic cells and the size of the LED bulb. Higher-quality photovoltaic cells and larger LED bulbs tend to cost more, so to a certain extent, the higher-priced solar lights do tend to shine more brightly.Shop outdoor solar lights on HouzzTell us: Do you use outdoor solar lighting? Dylan Chappell Architects added this to How to Hire the Right Architect: Comparing Fees
Charging hourly for the schematic design is another option. Once the schematic design is done, you should have a well-defined project scope and can agree upon a fixed fee for the remainder of the work.As with most industries, hourly rates can vary significantly. Just as you can pay $200 to get your hair cut in a salon or pay $15 to have it done at Fantastic Sam’s, you can pay different hourly fees for architects based on quality and reputation. If you’re looking for the equivalent of salon-style architectural services, it’s not uncommon to pay $80 per hour for a drafter and up to $150 or more per hour to work with a firm’s principal. The cost for a project architect, associate principal or designer will fall somewhere between those extremes. (Costs may vary widely by region.) Find a pro near you
