Size of pendants - Hi. We are building an 11 foot island in our new home. Can you tell me the dimensions of these pendants or point me to where you got them? I'm thinking I only want two pendants like shown, but I don't want them to look too small. Thanks!

I am sorry but the owner picked these pendants out and we do not have that information. Good luck.

The doors on the left lead into a guest room and bath and the doors on the right do lead into a pantry.

Love the symmetry of the doors and the double doors are certainly a first for a pantry!

The height of the cabinet from the floor is 4 1/2 feet the height of the cabinet itself is 3 feet. I do not have the exact dimension of the glass to the solid part but it is almost 2' to 1' for the glass part. Hope that helps.

I am sorry but we do not have that information as the Owner picked out the color. Very similar to Benjamin Moore Glacier White or possibly Cloud White. Good luck.

The island is 2 pieces of granite. The seem (barely noticeable) is directly in the middle of the sink. It is unpolished granite.

Please explain how you achieve the leather look with the granite. How do you maintain that look?

you should talk with a granite shop- there are a lot of different finishes avaiable now. I have used this finish outside in a grill area with great sucess. In this installation the surface is not perfect to maintain, It seems to show some smudges- which is not ideal. it does soften the tone of the granite which is very nice.

Hidden range hood question - I love how the cabinetry covers the range hood. What range hood did you use that allowed that cabinetry to hide it so well? My wife and I would like to do the same look in the house we are building now. Thanks.

There are many manufacturers of built in hoods. The CFM will be based on your range. So you need to select your range first- then find the correct size hood. Any appliance store can help with this. One of the manufarturers I use is Best hoods.
good luck,

AFTER: In the newly renovated kitchen, the double doors on the left open to a vestibule, which opens to a reconfigured full guest bath. An 11-foot-long island with a granite counter accommodates the whole family. It has room for dining and homework on one side, and room for food prep, a sink and a dishwasher on the other. Two sets of double doors reinforce symmetry. The set on the right leads to a pantry. Counters: Absolute Black granite with leather finish

The kitchen lies just off the dining area and the family room. The double doors on the left open to a hall leading to a full guest bath; the double doors at right lead to a pantry. Having a center piece designed differently, nice touch.

Really like the look and feel. (Not the black table/chairs. Would prefer more neutral, brighter tones). Like the customized cabinetry covering the range hood. Like the open square windows along the cabinets at the top (only a few of these open ones; not too many). Don't really like these specific hanging lights from the ceiling.

Not a fan of the dark counters, to me it looks dated.
