Hi. That does not look like it is an appliance lift. You can take a look at www.Rev-A-Shelf.com for their selection of lift mechanisms.

My question is why do we have slideouts in cabinets when we could just make drawers?

  • PRO
    Al Williams
Probably because they are not custom made.

    Norm Tessier Cabinets, Inc.
The 1 1 /2" is common at the back of the cabinet. Typically left for the back guide attachments, they provide clearance and room for the drawer to operate. Most cabinets are 24" deep and the deepest drawer guide available for this size cabinet is 22" Side-Mount, or 21" Under-Mount. It is a great place to be able to run wire/electrical and other things in and around the interiors of the cabinetry so they're not visible.

Great Idea, what height do you need to allow for the mixer? Thanks!

  • PRO
    Al Williams
There is about a 1/2" clearance between the top of the mixer and the upper Glide-Out.

    Thanks so much!
