You guys are right, a lot of those bigger kitchen appliances are hard to store. Usually they are shaped weird and they don't stack on top of each other. I think that this is such a great idea. It looks really well organized. http://kraftappliance.net/Products.html

P.S. I wish you were in Chicago, we could need help in planning yet another kitchen/mudroom/powder room remodel. You do a wonderful job on all your projects and I have yet to find a kitchen designer/builder who would even consider to work with Ikea products.

yes, the Pax cabinets are very versatile. I designed my home office space using them. I have the printer on a pull out shelf and retro-fitted lateral filing cabinets into them. All the interior options make them so useful in lots of situations.

Thank you Deirdre. The flooring is a red oak with a dark stain. The stain is from Minwax. I believe it was a combination of Jacobean and Ebony. Here is the link: http://www.minwax.com/wood-products/stains-color-guide/?gclid=CJ-q5Z2yqLgCFagWMgod4BoALg

Bud Dietrich, AIA added this to The Best Places to Stash Small Kitchen Appliances
A small appliance closet. A closet-like space can be a good home to all of your small appliances. Equipping the closet with strong rollout shelves will make getting at them easy. When you’re finished mixing, blending or toasting, just return the appliance to its home and close the door.
