Great Exterior...is this house plan available?

The official square footage for the house is 4,380 square feet. But that only addressed the village requirements. Because we brought the roof lines down, all spaces under 7' did not count. So all the bedrooms benefited from the dynamic angles that increased the room sizes. And the Master Bedroom (in the rear) has a huge walk-in closet that is 75% below 7' feet that also does not get included. On this project we built a theater room under the garage, and a sports-court/racquet ball court under the living room. So the total square footage of all the living spaces puts this house over 8,000 square feet.

I would love the name of the brick and the company that produces it.

Thanks for the inquiry. This is our most requested material palette on Houzz. We discovered that the original masonry file was missing, so fortunately that forced us to do some research to answer this popular question. We discovered that the factory that manufactured these bricks is no longer in production. So here is the original information as well as an close alternate:

    Original Order (from the brickyard)
    Quantity Material # Description/Size
    • 14,391 BOGL00005 BOGL Brookhaven Mod
    • 9.50 278007984 BS FDL Kensington 70/30 BL 40SF/ton
    • 2.00 278007473 BS FDL Rustic 36SF/ton
    • 1.98 278007984 BS FDL Kensington 70/30 BL 40SF/ton
    • 6.00 210310496 BS FDL Kensington 50/50 BL
    • 3.80 251008626 BS FDL Castle Rock 40SF/ton

    Here are the alternates:

    Glen-Gery Brick
    Traditions Series - Lockport - Engineer - 06104D
    Marseilles Collection - Bordeaux - Modular 10227D

Hope this helps. All this information come from the Illinois Brick Company. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the compliment. We truly enjoy what we do, and sharing information feels right for others who are looking to get a similar effect with their projects. At this stage of our practice we carefully craft each and every project to get it right, but we are trained that way, and have a passion for it. If it helps others who don't have the background or tools that we do then that should be good too. We have never had two projects that were done identically. Each one is a unique solution addressing both the client's desires, and well as new design directions that we explore as we mature each year.
    Appreciate the feedback.

I would love the same info! Building a house in a nearby suburb and would love to know the stone and the roof. Thanks.

            • E Stratton

Sorry! I just saw the note below about the masonry. What state did the stone come from? I'm guessing my builder would understand the info you provided?
