Barn Restoration in Harding Township, New Jersey

View from the summer kitchen to the living area of the Family room. The original barn beam structure was re-introduced and is well defined through the use of light colored wall and ceiling elements. Our collaboration with Papyrus Home Design was a big part of the success of this project.

It's not Pottery Barn, but custom made...

I read where you said custom, perhaps you did not read where i said " similar.

I would love to know where the beams come from.

The beams for this barn structure were a combination of the original framing (This barn is over 100 years old!), as well as additional beams that were culled from other barns. (Many of the original beams were rotted).

Did you use a barn beam for the ridge beam at the ceiling top as well?

            Arturo Palombo Architecture
Yes! We used the original beams for this portion of the Barn. (We culled the best of the existing beams, and re-used them.) The post and beam structure supports the barn as it would have originally!)
          • kebroyles
THank you. So, is the ridge beam exposed at the very top (didn't see a picture of the entire ceiling) or is the ridge beam hidden above the ceiling board?

These chairs were available at Pottery Barn, but I have not been able to find them on their current site or in their stores.

This project is a few years old. The chairs may not be available anymore.

Sorry about the late reply. The floor is not branded. It was culled from reclaimed barn flooring and refinished. There ARE, however a number of great manufactured floors that have a similar feel and finish. Try 'Mullican Flooring'. Good luck! A
