Eat-in kitchen - large traditional l-shaped ceramic floor eat-in kitchen idea in Detroit with an undermount sink, beaded inset cabinets, beige cabinets, granite countertops, paneled appliances and an island

Bloomfield Hills Gourmet Kitchen

This stately Tudor, located in Bloomfield Hills needed a kitchen that reflected the grandeur of the exterior architecture. Plato Woodwork custom cabinetry was the client's first choice and she was immediately drawn to the subtle amenities like carved turnings, corbels and hand-applied glaze. The coffered ceiling over the island gave additional warmth to the room. Choosing Subzero and Wolf appliances that could be completely integrated was key to the design. Beth Singer Photography

This is fantastic. What are the dimensions of the area that holds this 'breakfast bar'?

Thank you for your inquiry! The cabinet with the breakfast bar and retractable doors is a total of 36" wide. You will have to subtract you cabinetry rail width and allowance dimension for retracting doors to get your final interior width. Every cabinetry manufacturer will be slightly different.
    Good Luck!

I am looking at a way to hide the microwave. This looks like a great idea. What is the width of the cabinet to hold the microwave and inset doors. Thanks

How is the microwave mounted or does it sit on the shelf? Do you have a faux back for this opening to hide cords or where is the outlet for the two levels of appliances?

    Hi there,
    Thank you for your inquiry!
This cabinet has retractable doors so that it can stay open when in use, but close off to hide the appliances. The microwave is a free standing unit that sits on the shelf with a a designated circuit cut into the back of the cabinet.
