Most benches found in showers are make from teak. It is fine for them to get wet, and simple teak oil rubbed on will keep them from changing patina. There are several websites that have premade teak benches, frontgate.com has a sililar sized bench to the one in the picture.

jimlind, If you would like more information on what materials can be used in a steam shower or if the Vibe is safe, we would love for you to speak with our resident technical gurum Bob Buswell. Most of our products are safe to use in steam showers and he can definitely elaborate for you. If you would like to click on this link, it will take you directly to a page where you can send Bob any questions that you have. http://walkerzangerblog.com/ask-bob/
    Thanks so much for inquiring.

The floor isn't slippery because the tiles are so small, the grout makes it a non-slip surface. :)

    The Builder Depot
Arabesque is an incredible look. Until recently there was only really the technology to make it in ceramics. To try and make it in marble had to be created with a water jet. This made the cost of the product $100 to $150/SF. At The Builder Depot we have invested in modernized stone cutting machinery to enable us to cut curved edges with the saw process (a more cost effective method than water jet)

The saw process allows us to sell this product in Carrara Marble for $16.95SF: http://www.thebuilderdepot.com/cbharabesq.html

While Ceramic is nice. Carrara is also and can add a lot of value to your bathroom.

Beautiful!!! I'm wondering about the arabesque tiles on the wall as well. I've found lots of these in marble but need something more practical for the kids shower. Are they glass or porcelain?
