Immediately upon entering Dave and Lu-in's home, visitors are greeted by the couple's enthusiasm for color. As Lu-in explains, "We like warm, vibrant colors and tend to be attracted to the same ones, which is fortunate ... We did take into account the colors of adjacent rooms – especially on the first floor, where each room has views of the others." An archway and cut-out are highlighted in the living room. Using bright and contrasting colors, Dave and Lu-in take advantage of their home's inherent features, while expanding a feeling of depth.
