How was this tub installed on top of the tile so as to not let water between the tub and tile to avoid trapping the water and causing mold?

another quick question with respect to the master bath layout. would one feel cold during showering in this area of 6.5 X 12? also since our entry into this area will not have a glass door. it will have the 2 glass panels on either side of this entry. the panels will be 50''(W) and 84"(tall). please give us your thoughts.
