I currently have a white painted handrail and have a difficult time keeping it clean. Do you have any secrets

  • paulacavender
So what type of paint on the market should I be using for this application?
  • Melissa Rull
Baby wipes are amazing to take handprints off columns and rails. Beware not to use on the floor or stairs. They can make it slippery.

How can I recreate this? Do I need to find a carpenter to build the bench? Can a charging station be added?

Yes, I would recommend a finish carpenter. If you use this photo and ask the carpenter to design in (with your measurements) a charging station I am sure that is doable. Where are you located? I may be able to help with a referral.

Thanks! I live in Nashville, TN. Do you think the charging station could be under the bench or would that take away from the look?

how much square feet does the base of this staircase/closet use?

16 square feet. We started with a 4'x4' space prior to millwork design.

What type of wood panel is used for the coat rack? The wood that is on the wall before the trim and dental molding is attached.

Thank you for your question. This is a project of ours from several years back and the drawings have been archived. However, the bench is at 18", and the interior door pictured here is a standard 6'8" door, so it is safe to say the shelf is around 6'.
