Is the wall paint a satin or flat finish? Thanks - Since I have molding in my powder room, should I use satin for both the wall and the molding? I thought the molding should be slightly gloss than the wall. Please help!

Great to have the beauty of a flat finish paint that's washable too. Thank you Benjamin Moore for the Aura line. Prior to this, I would never have chosen a flat finish for either a bathroom or powder room.

Thank you to everyone who response to my request. I truely feel Houzz is such a great source to learn about home improvement ideas from each other. I finally selected the paint color from BM's spa and bathroom line. This line of paint is not just the regular Aura. It is made for bathroom and spa.
Thanks again!

Mirror vs vanity size - When you paired that medicine cabinet/mirror with the floating cabinet were you worried about the size difference? Is it normal to put a 24" mirror with a 36 inch vanity? I'm thinking of doing this with my 36 inch floater and 24 inch mirror and am having doubts on the size difference.

I found it online. It's a tiles reflection. I think mine came from lumens.

Hello, we're remodelling and the future bathroom will look a lot like this one, with a 42x52 shower, and skylight above it just as illustrated here, and a glass panel between shower and vanity.

We'll be installing a new Velux skylight. I was hoping to install the kind that you can open with a remote control. But I'm concerned with the humidity that will get trapped in the well. Velux have a double layer glass with some isolating gas in between the layers and that should help reduce condensation, but still. I also thought about installing a glass panel flush with the shower ceiling to prevent humidity to travel up the well but then it defeats the purpose of an opening skylight. I'm now thinking of installing a fan sideways in the well inches beneath the glass, in the portion of the well that extends over the roof (a flat roof).

Also, we're thinking about tiling up the whole well to prevent damage to the walls but that won't do no good for the condensation forming on the glass at the top.

I'm curious about any thoughts you all might have. Thanks for sharing.

Hello and great question. We like to discreetly locate the bathroom exhaust fan in the sidewall of the skylight if at all possible. Good luck!

Ikea makes a very similar vanity. We have it in our bathroom and love it. Tons of storage, very affordable.

Hello and thank you for your question! At the bottom of the glass, which meets the curb, there is a routed groove in the tile which is then filled with flexible clear silicon. Then at the top, where the glass meets the ceiling, there is a recessed stainless steel u-channel receiver to hold the glass panel in place. This way, the glass looks frameless and very clean. Hope this helps and good luck with your project!

Hello and thank you for your question. This 36" wide wall-hung vanity is made by a local Chicago millworker. We used
maple inside for the drawer and FSC certified wood for the outside. The
vanity is finished with a custom matte lacquer paint. The polished
nickel edge pull is 18" long and was sourced from Chicago Brass. The
sink is the Kathryn under counter sink from Kohler with a Celador
superwhite quartz stone counter from Stone Source. We hope this helps and good luck with your project!

Hi tzapanta98 - Thanks for your question. This dSPACE bathroom was part of a full house renovation and the costs are woven into a larger project. According to National Kitchen and Bath Association, the average bathroom remodeling project cost was $17,735
in 2014 with about 20 percent of that being labor cost. dSPACE always recommends speaking with local architects and contractors to estimate your project costs. Every project is unique. Good luck with your project - dSPACE Studio

Hello and thank you for your question! The tile was installed before the vanity. This way you don't have to cut tiles to fit around your vanity, and it avoids any potential misalignment. Good luck with your project!

Hello and thank you for your question! This hardware is a simple 8” lone metal “edge pull.” Timeless and very cost effective. You can find this online easily with a search of key words: “edge pull hardware”. dSPACE typically uses Hafele and Richelieu hardware. Good luck with your project.

Thanks for the question! This custom vanity was held 3 inches away from the shower glass panel. The sides are painted the same finish as the front, so from inside the shower you see a finished side panel, just as you see the finished side panel from the room. We love wall mounted vanities for their simplicity and easy maintenance of the bathroom.

This shower door and glass side panel was fabricated by a glass company in Chicago. It is a fixed panel on the right hand-side and a hinged door on the left. The angle of the photograph is a little bit deceiving as to what style of door this is. Hope this clears things up. Thank you for your question and good luck with your project!
