Paneling on the wall

- What is it?

  • kamiko
When doing new construction to achieve this look...do you apply paneling over sheetrock or do you even need sheetrock?
  • Tiffany Johnson
I would always recommend sheetrock, drywall, or greenboard (especially for bathrooms) just to button everything up. I'm not a pro but have worked on many projects and we're getting ready to put wide plank panels in our bathroom. Good luck!

    Classic Clawfoot Tubs
Christine - You can actually find these tubs new at a few places. This one is a double ended clawfoot tub with oil rubbed bronze feet.

Love Senoia Farmhouse, would love to came for holiday, great place.

I know how some of the boards have a slit gap in between and around them. Did you do anything to seal up your walls, other than paint, from drafty air and bugs? Or is that even an issue to worry about?

Thank so much - I've studied these plans but still can't determine the actual dimensions for the bathroom itself, I don't see footage there - I'm guessing on it from the size of the master bedroom, but I was hoping the dimensions might help. Thanks for your reply!

If they are commercially available and not custom, they will be listed in the Resource Guide that Southern Living created for the home. Because this was an Idea House, many of the products we would typically source (as the architects) were supplied by vendors and sponsors, so we don't have all of the resource information. Hopefully, you'll find some details in the Resource Guide.

    Carrara Marble Tiles

Hello lisapil! The countertop is made of Bianco Carrara marble and a custom fabrication product. If you like it, we can do the same countertop for your bathroom from our marble slabs.

We have a wide selection of marble slabs available, such as Bianco Carrera (White Carrara), Bianco Dolomiti (White Dolomite), Bardiglio Gray, Nero Marquina Black, White Onyx and Crema Marfil.

Unfortunately, we don't know the answer to that question. The paint sheen would likely have been selected by the interior designer.
