The concrete is stained not colored. There are mutiple colors of stain.I beleive it is a black and a brown and probally by Sonneborn.I just stained my studio floor with an acrylic stain which worked nicley and a lot easier to work with.If I were starting a stain project I would contact Ecohome Improvements to see what they have . I have heard they have some new soybased stains that are much friendlier to use.

Concrete Floor - What is the flooring in the dining room that connects with the stained concrete floor in the kitchen? Is it concrete also or wood that has been stained dark? Do you have any other pictures? I am considering for my remodel.

linoleum adhesive on my concrete floor - I love the concrete staining but have so much linoleum adhesive on my concrete floor...I've heard sanding or using muriatic acid is good to remove adhesive. What is your suggestion? I rather use something that is least harmful to my family. Thanks for your time.

I wouldn't even bother trying muriatic acid, the clean up is a pain and it will almost certainly not work. Your best bet would likely be a diamond grinder with a dust free vacuum. Linoleum adhesive usually grinds off fairly effortlessly with the right diamond tooling. Talk to your local concrete supplies store about what they rent for stand up diamond grinders and what they recommend for this situation, even some home depots are starting to carry excellent grinders in their rental departments. Make sure to wear a dust mask and keep your vacuums filters clean, the dust from the grinding is not good for the family, perhaps consider barricading the area off with poly!

Staining i snot hard , but protecting it prior to stain can be. There are a lot of different types of stain , but you have to be ok with variation because stain reacts much differently between different batches of concrete.

This would be ideal for my first house. I’d rather go with something which is modern, with subtle colours. More to the pastel shades. I’d love this
