Is this Soapstone called Barroca? - I received some samples and Barroca is one of them but out of all the samples Barroca has someone of a rougher texture and it doesn't seem to have the big veining in it that this picture shows.

Does this soapstone have any green in it? It appears straight black but I've been told even the darkest soapstones still have some green in it...

Soapstone does vary and it is advisable to look at the slabs when selecting color.

thanks, is there a standard minimum space between counters and island? I have a small kitchen but think a parallel island/galley situation would work best

In a small kitchen I like to leave a minimum of 36" but that is still tight if there is a work zone (range or sink). If it is a one person kitchen it isn't as crucial.

Unfortunately we did the cabinetry in this project, so I do not have the recessed can lighting information.

Length of the island - Can you please tell me the length and width of the island? Curious about how to think about the size of pendant/lantern lighting to the size of the island (so light fixtures don't look so dinky nor overwelm the island. Thanks

baldwinhardware.com has a link to "where to buy". I'm unsure where you are located.

Thank you for the question.
It is a custom hood but depending on your area...we can possibly make and ship.

The color was a custom white mix to match the homeowner's millwork.

Great barstools which unfortunately were purchased by the homeowner. You might find something at Room and Board or perhaps Pier One.
