Example of a transitional living room design in Seattle with beige walls, a standard fireplace and a stone fireplace

Woodinville Retreat

This fireplace was handcrafted and dry-stacked by an artisan mason who shaped and placed each stone by hand. Our designer hand-picked stones from each palate to coordinate with the interior finishes. Remaining stones were also hand-selected for the outdoor kitchen, adjacent to this space. Stone supplier: Marenakos stoneyard in Monroe, WA. Builder: Robert Egge Construction Photo: Matt Edington Masonry: Kelly Blanchard Masonry

We would heavily recommend Rob Egge Construction if you do not already have a builder for your project. This mantel was custom built by Rob and his team (along with the rest of the home). His subs are outstanding and attention to detail unparalleled. The dry-stacked stone fireplace was created by Kelly Blanchard Masonry (Kirkland).

kelly do you know of a good neutral that would work well on ceilings and walls, with a lot of dark stained cabinets and dark wood floors

This is real stone, hand shaped and dry stacked. The mason on site really liked working with it too. It is 60% Frontier Sq-Rec mixed with 40% Frontier Bed Face Ledge. Contact Wayne Ross at Marenakos Stone for more info, he can help you understand quantities, sizes, etc ordered for this project.

Nice find! The table photographed was previously owned by our client, but I believe it came from Pottery Barn some 8 years ago. Good luck!

Mine is correct. I c/p'd my response from the designer's source on another thread to this project. The other person is either pushing Eldorado cultured stone, or suggesting an Eldorado product that is similar. They do have good product for a cultured stone IMO, but I am not affiliated with anyone. I'm a home owner looking for the perfect stone for my project, myself, and I prefer real veneer.
