Toilet Clearance - Does this toilet meet code clearances on either side? I have an area that is 7'4"x4'-6" that I would like to transform into a full bathroom, but I feel I am being constrained by code clearances.

It depends on your location & whether or not you are taking a space that is not currently a bathroom.

This was a historic building that was converted to a family shelter. They did not move any of the original plumbing around - we were simply asked to design around what was already installed. Typically we install 18" from any side wall to the center with 30" clearance in front of the toilet.

This looks like an over the tank toilet paper holder. A number of companies make them. Here's one available at Home Depot. :) Rhoda

Hi -It's a porcelain mosaic tile that was discontinued several years ago. I'm sure there are other similar products available from your local tile supplier.

Inexpensive vinyl. No idea of the pattern or color - it was pre-existing.

Thanks for asking. This was a 100% pro bono project. Most of the materials were donated. I have no idea of the maker of the porcelain tiles. They were 1x6 ceramic, sheeted. You may try United tile, Dal Tile or Florida tile for this type of product. The floor was basic speck vinyl and was provided by the facility.

Cathy Lara added this to 5 Small Bathrooms That Stretch Design Imagination
This small bath exudes joy. “The shower curtain, from Target, makes me smile each time I look at it,” says interior designer Scott Neste. It’s the ideal illustration to look at, at the start of a fresh day.” Beautify your bathroom with a new shower curtain Tip: Keep wall, ceiling, floor and tile colors tonal. Neste created what he calls a “controlled character” in this small bath by shifting from white to cream to tan. “The tone-on-tone colors create depth and help the room read much larger than 30 square feet,” he says.Sink, mirror, vanity, wall shelf: Ikea; toilet paper holder: Bed, Bath & Beyond; art: Goodwill

2. Use a shower curtain. A shower curtain that moves back and forth saves space over a glass door that moves in and out. Shower-tub combos actually can fit into small spaces, with some tubs coming in at 60 inches in length.
