The calacatta marble slab was run up as the backsplash and surrounding the oven insert. Yes, full slab.

From Circa Lighting, I am glad you like them. We loved the brushed brass inside the lights, and thought that it warmed up the look of the kitchen.

Yes, The Pentaquartz has several different whites. When we bought these Marble slabs, we took the 3-4 samples of Pentaquartz to the fabricator and picked the color that matched best. We alway do this, and usually find that Super White matches the best. If you look at the photo a little closer, you can see the marble slab in flush with the floor under the bar stools. The marble and quartz do meet, and I think they match magically. Hope that is helpful!

How do you think quartz countertops would work with the marble backsplash?

Powder Coated, simple pulls that were customized by spraying them the same color as the cabinets. That is for the uppers. The lower cabinets all have c channels which are also powder coated.

LOVE -- how did you put the marble on the floor under the bar stools?

      • PRO
        Jeff Schlarb Design

The hardwood floor material is 3/4", when installing the floors we made space for the marble. Then when we did the countertops with 3/4" slabs, we also templated that space. Voila!

        I hope that is helpful!

Great question, not Nuvo, it is Natural stone. Calcutta Oro is what we refer to this stone in SF, but every dealer is different. Pentaquartz superwhite for the island, and all Calcutta Oro slab for backsplash and counter in the back of the kitchen. Good Luck!

Those are slabs of marble, not tile. The install is actually fairly easy, although the fabrication is not. Normally it is installed with adhesive which can be problematic with easily staining marble.
