I'm sorry I don't have the name of the granite as the homeowners ordered this on their own. It's a very light cream/white background with tones of gray. It was a standard offering from one of the 'Big Box' stores.

What is the tile used for the backsplash?

  • Becky Harris

Well that was very nice of you to go to the trouble to track it down, thank you so much Judy!

  • Gail Tanner

Judy Cook Interiors. I just want to say how kind and professional you are in answering everyone's questions. It gets frustrating when I see something on Houzz and get no response from the designer. You are exceptional.

How are the ceiling boards finished? Are they pickled? Thanks!

The ceiling planks are pine tongue and groove and we painted them with a light, single coat of white paint. The paint soaked in and allowed the grain to show through.

Thanks for your question. Are you referring to the storage drawer under the oven?
  • haymond
No, it looks like a board under the storage drawer.

What is the range hood

  • PRO
    Judy Cook Interiors, LLC
Sorry, I don't have that information. It was purchased by the contractor...but I have seen that same style by various manufacturers. You can probably find a comparable hood pretty quickly with an online search for 'chimney hoods' or similar term. Good luck!

Yes, this is a beveled edge tongue and groove pine plank. I do not know the exact width but would estimate 6 inches.

Thanks for your interest! It's tongue and groove planks with a beveled edge. Installed quarter round at the edges.

  • sillysquares

What size is the tongue and groove width? Also, where was it purchased?

Wood floors or a ceramic tile that looks like wood?

  • notadumbblond
Wood floors are easier on your back. I've had wood floors in my kitchen fir 4 years, with 2 large dogs and have been very pleased.

In our photo, the floor is made of laminate planks. They are very realistic looking and hold up well to sand and water in this beach house.

Did you stain the wood ceiling? It looks like a white wash? I love it!

Thank you! Yes, we did whitewash the ceiling. I believe we applied two coats of whitewash in order to achieve the desired effect. Benjamin Moore paint.

This is a black and white granite sourced from a Big Box store. It was selected and purchased by the homeowner and I do not have that information.

Hello, I don't have that specific information but if I had to guess I would say they were about 5 inches in width. Thanks for your inquiry!
