I have seen some mirrors on this site and elsewhere that have more of a bronze warm colored backing than silver; perhaps a mirror shop could coordinate more for you, if there isn't a readily available product (and there may be).

Mirror backsplash - Are there concerns about the mirror breaking/cracking with wear, or is it as durable as tile? And would you clean it with windex, etc., - just like a regular mirror? Great idea, if it will withstand... me! Thanks!

They were just tiles from Canadian Tire and I installed them using the tabs that they came with.

This is a great idea for backsplash. Would you mind telling how you got the back of the mirrors to have that "rustic" look to them?

Most local glass shops do not specialize in or stock antique mirror. We are a distributor specializing in the antique mirror subway tile, but all tiles are hand cut to size.

Debral55- We have recently added a large field tile size of 5" x `12" to our standard options. I love the large size! These are squares and I would guess them to be around 10". Here is a photo of a larger tile size we did for a custom wall feature. These are 23" each

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Lisa Frederick added this to Great Home Accents: Antiqued Mirrors
An antiqued-mirror backsplash in this kitchen is a welcome change of pace from tile.

6. Antique mirrors. Standard square mirrors found at any local hardware store work for modern or traditional styles, and add a reflective quality that can visually expand the size of your kitchen. If you’re not too keen on an overly polished look, try looking for aged mirrors with patina.
