Trendy concrete floor bedroom photo in Indianapolis

Bachelor Bedroom

The project started with 2 antique spears the client had bought a number of years ago. I decided to mount these on a 2-inch thick piece of exotic wood using also copper and bronze. This sits off the wall slightly allowing me to use lighting behind it. I pulled the base of the wall out and topped this with etched glass with light set inside. This gives soft light behind the Italian sleigh bed. The ceilings and windows are 14 feet high and concrete floors, so it was important to still have a masculine feel but keeping the softness of a Master Bedroom.

Sorry the color was custom mixed for the client and applied with a faux finish. Regards, Susan

That rocker bed is fascinating. Anyone know who makes it?

Who is the manufacturer of the pendant lights? Thank you.

Yes this bed actually rocks but we used the bedside tables that you can see, they slip in behind the bed to stabilize it.

My client had the spears and i designed the elliptical exotic wood and then worked with a blacksmith for the copper and bronze. I truly have no idea where you would purchase something like this without having a piece commissioned. For you to get an idea of size the bed is a California King so the piece is huge. Glad you like it, regards, Susan

The bronze and copper plates were attached from the back but i have just downloaded to this project close ups of the piece and i cannot recall how we attached the spears. It was about 10 years ago when i did this and i know it's still standing and my client is still living so we must have made it secure..just can't answer your question as to how! Regards, Susan
