number of square feet and I'd like to see the floor plan. - I like this house only I'd like to add a bedroom and maybe add to the living area. Where I want to build a home they require 800 square feet on the main level. Thanks, Carolyn

I too, would like to know the dimensions, particularly the interior dimensions, such as length and width. I sent you an email to your address as well. Many thanks in advance.

The roof of the Cottage is natural slate with copper flashings.

I am in the dream stage of building my home. If only I could piece together this n that from the many images I've looked at and put them in the brain of such talented Architects! So while I'm dreaming I figured I would go for it full throttle! I have a very limited budget but ideally (and perhaps unrealistic) I'd like to build a 600-800 sq ft. version of this cottage that is solid and comfortable without the high priced extras. Just a little place where my cat and dog and I can sit by the fire and live a down to earth life tucked away somewhere near Cincinnati Ohio. I've yet to find a contractor and/or architect that is willing to think outside the box and help me move forward to make my dream a reality. Any suggestions?

I believe it was a semi-transparent stain, but do not know the color. Sorry!

This is a very small cottage, only about 500 s.f. It is a guest house and jewelry studio.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Fred Albert added this to Discover a Hobbit House Fit for Bilbo Baggins
The house is just a short walk from the main residence, an 1890s cabin built during the region's copper, gold and silver boom. Although the main house was dramatically remodeled in 2001, it still retains its historic flavor. In building the new cottage, the owners were eager to do justice to both the property and the original building. By sinking the new structure into the hillside, they both diminished the cottage's presence on the site and preserved views from the main house above.

What Houzzers are commenting on:

Bradley Ross added this to Modern Mountain Cabin
how it appears to be built into hill
Liz Pegg added this to Windows
Tiny windows. How could they be used along side larger windows?
