Those are made by a company called Task. Here's a link to their site and the page on the Angled Power Strips.

Comment from Mom: - Good use of space. Would prefer a roll-up door - this door swings to the side and take up corner space

The antique finish was done by the fabricator that we use prior to installation. It does not affect the maintenance of the granite. It makes fingerprints, crumbs, etc. harder to see which is great. The color is mostly black on this granite. There are other granites out there that are browner in color. You could check with your local granite yard to see what they carry. I hope that your new counters turn out well! Thank you for the interest in our kitchen!

I'm sorry but that was the homeowner's cookbook holder. I would suggest a Google search using "Metal Cookbook Holder." I just did, and there are many and some may be similar to this one.

Go to eBay and look up Southern Living at Home Cookbook Stand. There's one listed right now (5/9/14) for 14.99. Looks very similar to the one in the photo from what can be seen.

Hello! The unit is 12" deep. That should be a standard dimension for most cabinets. But if the space allows it could be deep in order to house larger appliances.

With an outlet or two in the back wall, the appliances will be ready to use when needed and hidden from sight when not.

7. Appliance garage. Just about all of us could use a clutter-free countertop, which is why appliance garages are popular. More than 160,000 users like this design, which keeps a blender, toaster and mixer nearby but out of sight.
Mitchell Parker added this to Considering a New Kitchen Gadget? Read This First
Can you use your hands? Cooking is a hands-on process, and that’s the way it should be. For most of us, it’s relaxing and therapeutic. There’s a subtle joy in chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients and working with your hands and simple tools. Once you take that out of the equation and surrender that control to a hulking, electric, ear-splitting gadget, you’ve relinquished the soul that goes into making good food. And face it: You’re not ever likely to cook a meal for a hundred on a Friday night. That means you probably won’t get much use out of large appliances and gadgets meant to do a simple task at a high volume.
