What is the distance from the top of the range to the bottom of the hood?

Each hood and stove manufacturer has recommended installation specifications that should be followed. Typically they recommend 30-36 inches above the cooktop. I believe this one is 36"

Wood is a great finish for kitchens. You can either use it and let it patina or use a cutting board.

    Hi Nikki,

I specialize in European windows and doors in the US. Our windows are top quality and made in Germany. They are fully custom and prefinished, with the best energy efficiency. As you can see they have no center bar.

I would be happy to help you.

Beautiful kitchen. Was wondering what the approximate measurements are for the countertops (length). I'm trying to fit my appliances in a similar shaped kitchen and am struggling with the cooktop & wall ovens vs the 48" range. Thanks!

I also Love Remains Lighting! They sell antiques as well as fixtures they make in Brooklyn NY in their LEED Gold Factory. They also have a Houzz site and Website. I was there today and the craftsmanship on their fixtures it truly the highest quality.

I took your suggestion and visited the website. The products indeed look high quality and have a large number of finish options. Sounds like my kind of place. Thank you for all of your help! You definitely have established that you are very client focused firm -- so lucky for your clients.

The center Island is walnut the others are white marble. Because marble is a natural material, you will need to go to a Marble yard and select a slab that appeals to your individual aesthetic preferences.

Yes that is a VentaHood within the custom Zinc enclosure.

It is a residential model. The filters are the removable dishwasher safe ones. as for directional/non directional...I don't know.

Can you share where to get a venthood like this customized? We really like the gradual slope and flat sides are having trouble finding it. Thanks!

This is a custom Zinc Hood.

I do not have the information handy any more....however, the size of your stove will dictate the required size as well as your ceiling height and look you are going for. If I were going to guess I would say that it is 60" wide and 45" tall and 18-24" deep

Thank you for your interest. Hood sizes are driven by the size of the range and the BTU's they put off. There are good rules of thumbs out there however you really need to follow the manufacturers requirements.

This range is 60" so the hood is at least 60" wide. Note that there is a space between the cabinets and the hood....this is a fire safety issue some people choose to extend the hood past the stove and allow it to touch the cabinets to achieve the same spacial requirements. As for the height of the ceiling in the kitchen is 8'-8" so I would say the hood is about 2'-6" high.
